Next time it does it try to shift the car into neutral while its still 'on', then back to Park and try to start again. Long shot its the neutral safety switch. If helps issue consistently that could be issue rather than random Lotus quirk.

Finally talked to my dealer about my FE2.0 which I submitted my official order in August 23. Was told then would be a dec/jan build. He was able to give me my VIN # so he thought it was in preproduction planning or somewhere in the process of being built. Didn't think it was it at port yet...

Did they circle "yes" at the factory to say you indeed wanted it. :p Doesnt inspire confidence on their station QC checks on the assembly line that it wasnt caught. I also have no privacy glass and not sure how i'll react if it shows up with it.

Maybe they're changing the estimates to be ultra conservative so they can easily meet expectations for once. I think they were using the Elon Musk time estimator method before. I wouldnt believe any time estimates from a dealer though. I think Q1 or Q2 for the base configurator is more likely...

Those look very similar to wheels that came on my GR86. The Toyota ones are only 18s though.

Obviously not on extended test drives without the dealer in the car etc or even the dealer driving it with depositor riding along. If the depositor/owner can't drive the car alone then the dealers not better be able to either. Dont see much legal difference in these cars vs the dealer test...

I wondered the exact same thing when was researching PPF and washing. Probably was an issue 10 years ago when PPF films were lower quality and the seams were easier to lift. Most dedicated car wash soaps are PPF safe now. I also avoid spraying against the edges (most are tucked anyway) close up...

I've been hoping Harry's garage would do a year ownership review as well as getting a interview with Lotus again and to ask relevant questions. Maybe a prominent USA youtuber deposit holder can pull that off as well.

I have tried that several times (including Lotuscars USA) over the last few months to multiple Lotus addresses. Heard nothing.

At least we have the Lotus Seasons Greetings email to look forward to....we are priority customers afterall.

Finally heard back from my dealer as to confirmation. He has heard nothing from Lotus about USA customer cars. I'll believe news from a dealer source when they confirm they are getting their first customer car for delivery...and a picture of it being unloaded at the dealer.

I agree sounds immobilizer related. Try your other key fob (if comes with 2) see if does same thing. Could be the car's module not sensing the key if no change. Could also be the clutch or brake depress sensor. Next time it wont start cycle the clutch then brake a time or two before getting out...
