Lotus would probably screw up that car's CARB paperwork as well. Terrible joke considering the current delays. Unless the approval is coming today and they know it.

If/when Lotus delays delivery for CARB past March 13 they better come up with alot better gifts. $5,000 off voucher for every week beyond that will be acceptable to me.

I would suggest people go ahead and work out with their dealers the final numbers on their cars and get a total amount owed. I did it a few weeks ago and there were errors to catch as far as the amount and taxes. The dealer also 'forgot' to subtract my deposit $ from the total. I did this...

I suspect 3 months worth of price increases and stowage. They gonna claim its the USAs fault for having CARB in the first place...and blame the supply chain of course. Also a bill for the gift for those who received them.

I asked the dealer just to put mine in the car as I figured it wouldnt really be anything I'd want (I was right). My dealer told me Lotus USA wanted to mail it and not have come thru the dealer.

Has Lotus said the reason was they weren't approved in January as they claimed it would be? What is the basis for believing this time that CARB will be signed off in the new timeframe and not another delay. Not that Lotus may have actually told you any of that.

My dealer was adamant it was something not available to purchase anywhere else. Something 'special'. Im prepared to be disappointed. Probably a Lotus calendar from 2022 that says enjoy your Emira we recently delivered. Perhaps a special Lotus pet rock.

My dealer told me Saturday Lotus is having to pay the dealers for their storage and floor space. Not sure how true since half of them were parked outside. Lotus is probably sending them the check 'soon' for that.

I suspected this was the case when inspected my car at the dealer. Mine had only 3 smaller booklets that werent the full manual thats online. Might be nice to have a copy of the full book though in the car. The pouch looked like it was intended for the full manual.

I have 23 GR86. Its a fun 'peppy' car but not very powerful. Great to drive on curvy roads etc. Now that the Emira is close to reality I might be reducing our car count so it might be going . I'm nearish 50 and its true the majority of drivers are under 35 probably.
