I just checked mine. The VIN has an 'R' and the dash says 335 days to next service so it looks like it was a fairly recent build. Also, no rust on the discs. I wonder if Lotus started i4 production in 2023 before the type approval problems, then they paused for some months and resumed in 2024...

Just to be clear - the Admiral description is fixed as of this morning. See my post above. That screenshot came from Admiral. I was able to get to it from Meerkats by manually selecting the i4 in their search screen.

Closing remarks... I spoke to Admiral and they don't do NCD mirroring. I tried multi-car but it seems they really don't like Audi RS3's so I'm going to stick with Manning. Hopefully the correction in Admiral might help out a few others here.

Yes, similar to you, it reminded me of my old Subaru Impreza. Not quite as bassy as the boxer engine but similar and with lots of whooshing and fluttering from the turbo. Thas another aspect I was positively impressed with on the demo drive. It sounded way better than I was expecting it to.

I would chase Lotus CC as they sat on my checked out order for 10 days. It was only after I chased the dealer and they chased CC that I got the final invoice today. Now I've had multiple emails and multiple calls from multiple people in CC. It's almost like they don't know what they're doing :)

How did you find out about the 2 years interest free loan? Is this being offered through Lotus or is it a local dealership thing? I've not had any such offer from Bell and Colvill.

You guys are doing better than me on price. I'm around the £925 mark with Admiral. I think the 3 points I picked up in 2021 are still hurting me. I'm still surprised it's taking so long for the i4 to appear on underwriters' books. Hopefully come renewal next year things should be a lot easier.
