Hard to say for sure exactly what the algorithm is but definitely in sport mode. If you start pushing on it will begin holding onto higher gears a lot more and delaying the downshifts. Sometime it works really well and other times it leaves you in an artificially low gear with loads of revs but...

Plus has anyone got a "detuned" i4 on the rollers yet? It wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility that the whole 360bhp thing was just a marketing ploy to position the V6 as the flagship spec. I strikes me that it's probably more trouble to run two different tunes than it is to have one...

I would say it's similar to the DCT in my RS3 and slightly slower than the one I had in my E90 M3. Overall it seems perfectly adequate. I'm glad I didn't get put off by those early reviews. I can only assume that they've addressed those issues in the time we were waiting.

I suspected the undertray with mine too. However, bizarrely, it seems to have completely gone away on its own. There were a couple places with speed bumps and then the odd camber into my drive that 100% caused it but it's quiet now. Perhaps the undertray "settled"?

Several people have commented on hearing the turbo intake and blow off sounds. Maybe I'm just not ragging it enough yet or maybe I'm a bit deaf but I'm not hearing it!

I seriously thought the fuel gauge was faulty as it hardly moved over a long trip I did recently. It was mostly motorway driving at a constant 70mph and the range barely went down from 420 miles. It's a surprise fringe benefit that I wasn't particularly expecting.

I've driven the V6 manual and I own an I4 so I can't provide a perfect comparison but based on my experiences, here are some thoughts: V6: Sounds better. Power delivery is more linear. Slightly more powerful (allegedly!) i4: Sounds loud but there's no particular signature to it. "Feels" faster...

Not specifically been to any airport multi-stories but I had a few speed bumps where my M3 would scrape and so far the Emira has not so clearance looks good. My main concern with those carparks is how ludicrously narrow the ramps, turns and spaces are. They seem to be designed for car dimensions...

That's shocking. I wonder if they would be quicker if it was an insurance job where: a. Lotus are getting paid for the door b. The car is undriveable until it's replaced It feels like they see cosmetic warranty as the lowest priority of all :(

I guess that makes sense assuming that the 1st service on the V6 just consists of an oil & filter change. Perhaps even good value given the i4 servicing prices quoted on here seem to be significantly higher than the V6.
