I've been waiting patiently in the I4 line since August 2021. Like most, I've been getting what snippets I can from here rather than Lotus comms. Interesting those criticisms are so squarely placed on the V6 car. It will be good to see whether the I4 does indeed nail it or just introduce other new niggles.

I hope so. Anyway, I'll keep my deposit in, do a V6 test drive in Jan and go from there. If (big if) they honour the original FE pricing in 2023/4 it will begin to look like a bit of a steal. I suspect they may bump the 360bhp to 400 and use that as a reason to refresh the I4 prices to V6 or higher.

I placed a deposit for an I4 FE in August 2021 and the last email I got was on 24/11/2022 saying it will be manufactured in November 2023. Not the same wording as the one listed above. Being realistic, perhaps I just haven't qualified for my own delays email yet? Very odd if people with V6...

Just spoke to customer support and unsurprisingly they're not making any guarantees about the pricing between now and November next year regardless of whether you've configured your spec and paid the additional £3,000. It seems that right up to the 30 day notification you are exposed to a price...

Unfortunately, I think it's a more likely outcome for me as I've "only" paid the £2,000 initial deposit. I've not been asked to lock in my spec or for any more money.

Another one for the torture table: Deposit placed 6th August 2021 via Lotus website. Email estimates November 2023. I've queried to ask if they'll honour the original I4 FE prices. If they hike them then I'll be out!

Agreed, another worrying signal. I'm in the I4 gang so I'm not sweating it for an early allocation anyhow! It would be nice to get behind the wheel of a V6 at some point though to confirm I want to stay in this for the 2023 long haul.

What happened to Bell & Colvill? The list says they were due to announce their allocation 2 weeks ago. I thought they were a "flagship" dealership and would be one of the first to get something.

This is terrible news! I ordered an I4 in August 2021 and was hoping for delivery early next year. I wonder if these delays will be affecting UK orders too? Not sure I've got the appetite for such a significant delay on top of everything else. Has anyone else had a call?
