Nice find. I was hoping someone would eventually introduce a carbon fibre engine for the i4 to replace the rather bland factory item. I look forward to fitting one of these some time :) How did you learn about the engine cover and the vents? Currently only the mirror caps are listed on the site.

The worry is that Lotus go down the functions on demand path where you end up paying for ADAS in perpetuity.

I remember things like this being common on the early deliveries but I was kinda hoping they'd ironed out most of the niggles by now. I hope they can sort out the issues. I'm relatively close to B&C - about 25 miles but it's still a round trip that I don't want to be doing more than necessary...

I wonder what prices will be like in the new year? With the continued I4 delays, V6 autos might start to look like a more attractive proposition by then.

Sorry @Tokion but I'm afraid I can't cite any new sources to work with. I was really only saying that if the delay is indeed about improving the DCT software or adding more ADAS features then it can only be a good thing. I spoke to Lotus CC this week and they said that manufacturing is delayed...

Personally, I'd much prefer a car in early spring with revised DCT software than one in winter with the traits that have been reported by reviewers.

I had another crack at the Lotus webchat. I genuinely don't think they tell their CC staff anything as he wasn't even able to say when there might be any more official comms! Oh well, in Tokion we trust (y)

Disappointing but not entirely surprising. I won’t hold my breath for my promised November build slot then. I can only hope that whatever the cause of the latest delays, it will ultimately translate into a better, more reliable and sorted car when it finally rolls of the production line.

I don't know how much of the interior sound is simulated but it sounded pretty good to me. One gripe about lazy downshifts but nothing too bad. Overall, very positive!
