Unfortunate. I received a customer satisfaction survey from Lotus US after my acquisition, and again at the 3 month mark. I was forthright each time and you should also be. However, I have been done right by both my sales representative and dealer. Give the car a chance.

That is my expectation. I think the 'rubber sheet' was a temporary fix. Lotus supplied parts to my dealer. I'll see what I can do to get a photo next week (try hard but no promise).

Not sure why. A comparison of 2 unequal ( price, HP, transmission) cars that has zero bearing on my driving desires and habits. I wanted an Emira, not a Chevy cliche. That 'it's a Lotus' universally needs no further explanation. Opinions will vary.

Yes. Bit of a hoot to have one charge up an adjacent lane, pull alongside to gaze for a bit to take all the design in and then lunge forward with big thumbs up as they accelerate. You didn't mention how they sit higher than the Emira, providing a good viewing perch. A win for me in a way...
