If it helps, although I don't have definitive information my UK i4 was built a similar time last year (MY23 VIN, service indicator came on in August), but due to the UK type approval delays I didn't get my car until end of March this year. 4k miles in and I've not had any major issues so far.

I've not had any recall work done on my car, but I've not checked to see if anything is due as it is 2h to the dealer for me so not exactly the work of a moment to take it in. I'm pretty sure there was indeed a pause in manufacture, mine has a MY23 VIN whereas others with March cars have a MY24...

I'd guess some of them could be but also probably could be due to things like eg. 2nd hand cars in showrooms, cars that have been written off etc.

I've not found it to be a problem in my i4, yes things do get warm but I've never had anything get excessively hot to have it as a concern for me.

Interestingly evo magazine in the UK recently did a road test comparison of the i4 Emira against the Morgan Plus Four, which I've summarised from an Emira perspective here. Well that's my new thing to learn for the day sorted and its only just after 10am here :ROFLMAO:. Just for completeness I can confirm that the sensor is also present on the right hand mirror for UK RHD cars.

My i4 has privacy glass and is painted body colour (DV) under the glass, no black plastic finish like you're describing.

My understanding is that the mesh on the intakes is i4 specific, it has been present since at least December last year (as can be seen in this post from valentinewang).
