    Emira Forums Spam?

I dont think it's hacked, new user accounts and then posts done via a bot. Change your password, or at least make it more complex, just in case. Site probably needs a lock on new users and some sort of cool down added to stop people from posting more than 1 new post in a set time

Prices increase update from Lotus - and stopping of reservations for V6 FE

On the original price hike mail? I did, I was given the Lotus portal stuff to confirm my order into production. Although the word "production" is just a label to give the sense of progress, as I'm still not getting the car until July

    UK Auto Deliveries

ummm. Perhaps I go for the factory pick up then ... might save a week or two. It's crazy that things like road works affecting the size of the delivery trucks are causing delays. I would never have even considered that. This entire process, from the factory rebuild to UK delivery, would make a...

I'm in - the buyers thread

I have contacted a guy I know about PPF, he has done 1 Emria already, and he said the paint was poor. It also had an issue on some panels that they are going to correct, so he's going to call me when the car is in to fix that so I can see the PPF process and costs. Perhaps the early builds had...

I'm in - the buyers thread

Now when you say cars everywhere, were they finished? lol. Also, have they made a dent in the Autos yet? I have done step 1 of the online app where I lock in my spec, it's "in production" yet I'm still looking at July delivery... so I assume it's not actually in production they just needed...

Lotus Emira Production Life vs. EU Ban on Gas Engines

Honestly, synthetics are the only way we should all be going. Battery cars are shocking for the environment for one, and secondly, we have billions of ICE vehicles on the planet; we are not just dumping all these in 10 years, and it's irresponsible to not keep as many existing cars on the road...

I'm out - the cancellations thread

With the cost of living in the UK, our interest rates, and our seemingly bleak financial future, I'm not surprised. This is a luxury item, this is something you can buy if you are 100% financially stable. By that I mean you have a low mortgage, a decent savings account and a job in demand...

Drop in volume after sat nav voice? ( Car play issue)

Slide the volume on the iPhone to max. Then turn the volume down on the music via the car, then start the sat nav. When the sat nav is speaking, turn that down to the level you would want, maybe a bit below, again via the car. Then, turn the volume up on the music, via the car again... The next...

Collecting from Hethel on Monday and still not got insurance. Any recommended insurers?

It is, I built a white-label app for them a few years ago. It served Admiral, Bell, Elephant, Diamond and gladiator, from what I remember. I ran a quote through confused.com and it came back with Bell at £845. Seems like the Admiral Group is a place to try.

UK deposit to order checkout to delivery process

That's correct, from what I was told on the phone. The cynic in me says they will store a lot of cars and then deliver them a few weeks into June so people fall into the higher payment window. I find it hard to believe they can have "many cancellations", as they tell me on the phone and at the...

UK deposit to order checkout to delivery process

Honestly feels completely backwards to me too. I could order a bright yellow car with red seats, lower black, silver wheels and black calipars (no offence if people ordered that combo btw, you do you) and then cancel it for a deposit refund... then Lotus has to try and find someone else who...

Belgium can be the guineapigs on this then lol. I havent seen an Auto review, my test drive was a manual. So hopefully all good.

okay, make sense. shame they have no visibility on the progress of the approval

UK deposit to order checkout to delivery process

I just had it too. Reading the mail a few times, i still think its a bit backwards, compared to other new cars i have ordered. I confirmed it anyways. It's basically the point of no return. The original config was just to give them an idea on parts and paint to get in stock. I assume it's all...

Collecting from Hethel on Monday and still not got insurance. Any recommended insurers?

But haven’t people already picked their autos up? During my moaning towards Lotus, they just sent my confirm config email lol. So I have now put my official order in. I await step 3, which is checkout. If they cannot hand this car over until the type approval I could be in for a bit of a wait...

Collecting from Hethel on Monday and still not got insurance. Any recommended insurers?

thanks for the info. Having the car made slower is a concern imo. So what are people doing with these Auto deliveries then? Just asking for home delivery and leaving it to rot on their drive way? Noone is risking this car on UK roads with no insurance, surely? far too many idiots on are roads to...

Collecting from Hethel on Monday and still not got insurance. Any recommended insurers?

How do we insure it then? I just looked at manual costs, it's coming in around £850 a year!?! £400 more than my current car, but its my first sports car, so its to be expected, i guess. Do you just get manual and then pay more to change it to auto? wouldnt fancy driving this without 100% correct...

    earlier delivery due to cancelations

I didn't use a dealer, I went direct to Lotus via the website. Again, assuming direct would be simpler... Are you also getting it 6k cheaper then, as its before June?

    earlier delivery due to cancelations

:( well, I placed my order in September 2021, FE Auto, and absolutely nothing here. I would have hoped that they would offer cars in order to be honest. I guess its to be expected that Lotus would just go random.

Collecting from Hethel on Monday and still not got insurance. Any recommended insurers?

Yeah, so badly managed. Any ETA on approval? I'm not even close to getting my car. July at the moment, but I'm assuming that will be pushed back yet again as I just can't see the build speeds improving.

Whats the cost looking like? I havent even looked as the autos are not online yet. Why are they rejecting you? Is it the car?

I'm in - the buyers thread

Interesting. So if they still use Heyford it's not that far away from Bristol. Getting them to deliver I guess is the quickest then. Rather get it from the dealer so I can drive it a bit on the way home. WFH, so it will be sat on driveway for a week else lol

I'm in - the buyers thread

Christ... I’ll probably just go and get it. One less thing to go wrong. Delivery truck blowing up, storage garage flooding, some tree falling over… I don’t know, leaves on a train track somewhere. Lol.

I'm in - the buyers thread

Is it quicker to pick it up from them? Will I have to wait weeks/a month for them to bring it to Bristol? I’ll just get the train and some Ubers else

    Manual vs Auto orders. U.K.

I rang up, again, Friday. Lady said that any cancellations go to the front of the line. No jumping. Personally, after a few chats with customer service, I’m convinced they will store as many cars as they can so they sell them after the price increase cut off. They seem very reluctant to say I...

    Manual vs Auto orders. U.K.

No one seems to know. I have an order, and a few others here, so at least 5 lol. Someone said 10% of orders were for autos… I do not know where they got that number from, though.

Sure, i'd agree that they have damaged the brand's integrity. People seem to be turning a blind eye to it, though. "Cost of living crisis" etc etc. I would have expected the increase to have news stories on it. Type "Emira price increase" into google and you only get forum talk. They absolutely...

I'm out - the cancellations thread

It doesn't seem like they have had that many cancellations. We are not getting loads of people in here talking about reduced wait times as they have been moved up. The i4 version maybe, as that is so far away, lots of people are probably just thinking, 'whats the point in waiting', which is...
