GRP decat pipe and Milltek Valve Controller

It's louder across the board, but moreso at higher RPM's. I wouldn't worry about obtrusive sound, at idle or a "set cruise speed", but that's just me. The nice thing is that you can switch it to OEM, if you'd prefer it quieter: giving you the best of both worlds.

Redline Reviews: "The 2025 Lotus Emira 2.0T Is A Superlative Driver's Car With A Stonking Motor From AMG"

Enough with the V6 manual vs i4 DCT bashing banter. A true enthusiast will make his/her own choice based upon experience, preference and driving style, respecting whatever another person chooses to drive. Your ride is personal to you. There are no 100% right choices, only the right to make a...

    Initial Results after adding Tweeters

You need to be careful when using this thread to install new Alpine tweeters. First off, any reference to "left/right" in the thread, is from the perspective of a left-hand drive vehicle, so left is the "driver side" and right is the "passenger side". As well, this thread refers to the...

Debate is On...which brand of oil for the i4?

There are a few postings on the Forum, about i4 engine oil and some tips on changing the i4 oil/filter, that you may find helpful (good luck!): https://www.emiraforum.com/threads/i4-emira-turbo-amg-diy-oil-changes.5375/#post-162107 https://www.emiraforum.com/threads/i4-engine-oil.5608/

Anyone bleed their own brakes on their Emira?

And on opposite sides of top of caliper. Inner one fun to deal with, due to poor visibility and tight space. I had trouble with the open end 11mm wrench and worried about rounding the top of the inner nut with the wrench, so opted to crack it open with an 11mm socket (to defeat the initial...

    Silencing seat belt warnings

Oddly enough given the timing of this thread, I set some groceries on the passenger seat tonight, heavy enough to activate the weight sensor. There was only one chime, then the dash light remained lit up showing the passenger seat, until I got home. So there was no continuous chiming. Perhaps it...

    Silencing seat belt warnings

And then ++ regret your move, when you NEED a lawyer and have no one to turn to for help (lol). On a more serious note, here's a 2024 Forum thread which is related (it deals with the passenger side airbag light) but doesn't answer the OP question...

Emira JB4 Tuning Now Available for I4 & V6 Cars!

Thanks Greg. A few questions: 1. Is this JB4 kit, compatible "as is" with both the 3rd cat delete and the Eventuri mod? 2. Or just one of them...or none of them? 3. Expected HP increase, with the JB4 kit, in combo with the 3rd cat delete and Eventuri? 4. Or just one of them? 5. Any discount...

What did you do to your Emira today?

Almost finished planned mods/accessories: -full wrap (PDF clear), PDF on center screen and door sills, and windshield protective film, plus ceramic coat rims -soft car cover for winter storage -custom MagSafe wireless charger for iPhone -thin rubber channel installed on outer seat edges (to...

    Changing seatbelt webbing in Emira

Find thread entitled “Raceseng shift knob” for info. I made several postings on that thread. Unfortunately, Raceseng could be sold out now but I did see a few eBay listings for Raceseng knobs, when I was shopping around. Good luck with your hunt!

    Changing seatbelt webbing in Emira

One thing to further help out: when re-installing the lower side seat panel (with embedded electric seat controls), first lift up the panel above 2 upper tabs, then down so each tab slides into an upper slot on the panel. There’s one tab/slot in the middle and another at the end of the panel...

    Changing seatbelt webbing in Emira

The relevant pages from the service manual are below: 13-3, 15-8, 15-9, and 15-7. I made some helpful notations on them, while working on the car. Most of them provide bolt sizes.

    Changing seatbelt webbing in Emira

Understood Greg however it depends how fussy you are with the color of replacement webbing. It's a fair bit of work just to remove the seatbelt assemblies. I already had the car apart to install sound insulation and a new rear subwoofer, with the seatbelt retractor mechanisms right there and...

    Changing seatbelt webbing in Emira

Just finishing up part of the DIY mods for my '24 V6, including cutting up/discarding perfectly good "slightly used" black OEM seatbelt webbing. For those of you interested in taking this on, here are some pointers: 1. You need to disconnect the seatbelt from its top tethering point. Then you...

    Lotus Emira Scale Model 1/18

All I could find was a Nimbus Grey 1/43...along with a few other colors in that same scale. The only 1/18 scale Emira out there so far, is the Seneca Blue and Dark Verdant Green, as you indicated. Hopefully that will change over time. If not, you'll have to buy a different color 1/18 and repaint...

Unacceptable appearance. Have dealer correct, rather than trying it yourself which could create paint damage not covered by warranty.

Anyone fitted a Ghost or Pandora immobiliser?

True here too. But after spending ++ DIY hours on Emira modifications (still ongoing), even getting full replacement coverage for my stolen Emira, just seems unthinkable, making the Ghost II expense, all the more attractive.

Lotus Emira V8 in Testing & Other News

I hear you. I just sold my 10 year-old 2016 Mercedes E550 (twin turbo V8) and LOVED its somewhat understated "not-too-loud but there" low/powerful V8 rumble. I liked it so much, I wanted to replace it with another but was disappointed to learn Mercedes only makes a V8 in the AMG line and it's...

Lotus Emira V8 in Testing & Other News

Anyone fitted a Ghost or Pandora immobiliser?

I'm checking into the Ghost II system and fortunately for me, there's an Autowatch authorized installer in my city of just over 1 million people. Battery Tender Question

Ditto to RoryBellows's advice. You're OK driving around w/o coverings, however I'll add that should you encounter moisture entry (due to a high powered car wash, raising the rear hatch with water on it, or any type of water leak in the trunk area), water contact or ++++ humidity could...

    Isotype Green in the Flesh

The reactions to your mention of the Miura caused me to look it up. I'd never heard of it before.
