The fact Lotus didn't include an oil change / inspection panel baffles me (pun intended). Seems like a no-brainer. But Lotus opted for 39 bolts required to remove under tray instead. Just another opportunity for the aftermarket to step up with a solution I suppose.

Basic transportation is not a "luxury" item. Completely different set of rules for required purchases that must be made to conduct day to day business. This is the end of my free advice.... ;)

Nothing all that new to say...The various reviews have summed it up nicely. My 2cnts: The Emira is a "prettier" car and looks semi-exotic. The modern cabin and carplay make it much more livable on a daily basis. The track suspension drives similarly to the Evora and the tour set up is down...

To each their own...but the aftermarket doo-dads detract from the clean lines of Russell Carr's design. This wouldn't have been my first choice.

I spoke with my dealer yesterday. They are aware of the A/C resistor issue and are attempting to correct affected cars with updated parts prior to delivery. What I'm curious about is if anyone with a VIN higher than 2178 has been affected? 2179 and above are supposed have the fix installed...

your probably right. I typically put a large (flattened) cardboard box under the car to catch any errant drops of oil. there's no way to do a "spill proof" oil change so I think I agree. Esp at $250 for the part, the juice isn't worth the squeeze

They probably feel that after so much time has past, and so much has already been done on the Emira, any content they produce would likely be stale and not get the kind of views they need. That said I hope they go through with it and buy the car.

You'll gain some clearance with the cartridge removed...but doesn't sound like enough room for a reasonably large oil filter. But least the Emira's filter cartridge is metal!

VIN (30XX) assigned and the car is currently (14 May) on a boat headed to the USA. Probably late June - mid July for delivery

Stopped by Gator today for a quick test drive...Wow they have a lot of cars in the process of being delivered. Here's a pic of the show room. As always the team at Gator was phenomenal! They are really excited about finally being able to deliver cars!
