I'm out - the cancellations thread

Like the Mclarens but no manual option is a deal breaker. IMHO, A 6 speed manual transmission is a must for a true driving experience. Also my friends that have owned Mclarens quickly fall out of love when things break and they see the costs to get them fixed.

It amazes me how rude and arrogant some high end sales organizations can be. I understand they don't want to waist time with "tire kickers" but at the same time a good salesperson will always ask questions to qualify a client, but at the very least should treat everyone with a basic level of...

How much time do you spend on this forum and looking at Emira videos per day?

The closer to the "finish line" I get the more I get sucked in. That and its the only place for information since Lotus is like a black hole for communications.

    Bad News for China Sales??

All of these discussions are missing the underlying forcing function for EV adaptation and long term macro economic viability. CONSUMER DEMAND. Irrespective of global markets, trends in the USA have not been favorable for EVs. Tesla was first to market and filled what demand was there. As...

The end is near....And no its not CARB approval

In the USA at least, I think the i4 is going to be be seen as the lesser of the two engine options and depreciate much more over time. Additionally the i4 being a turbo is much more likely to be "tuned" (translation for mechanically molested) and that will further reduce the i4's resale

The end is near....And no its not CARB approval

I agree that theres a chance the Emira will hold its value well. It has a timeless design and with low production numbers it will likely be sought after for years. This assumes that Lotus continues to be a viable company with adequate OEM parts support.

    0% APR finance

I think when the initial batch of Lotus aficionados who've waited patiently for the Emira have possession of their cars demand for the Emira will wane and be more in line with the current market for 2 seat sports cars. I wouldn't be surprised if the Emira fails to matched the Supra at about 2500...

Supercar you would take instead of the Emira

Not really interested in many supercars b/c no manual transmission option. Pretty much leaves the 911 Gt3. Or 911T. That said 911 is so ubiquitous it’s a fun drive but visually a boring option. Maybe a v8 ford GT

It depends. Dealers get allocations and those allocations get assigned to clients. Some dealers get more, some get less. Some have more demand for their allotted allocations, some less. So your best bet is to start with your "most" local dealer and ask. Beyond that start working the phones...
