    Dashcam for the Emira

Cool thanks. I think I could make an adapter to bridge to that cover, if a longer extension is needed. .

    Dashcam for the Emira

That looks nicely done and discrete. Is the camera bracket glued to the windshield or to the rear of the plastic mirror cover? The only downside for my case, since I have tint film on the inside part of my windshield, is that I want to avoid glueing anything strong to it, particularly because...

    Lightweight battery

I plugged my scanner in twice after swapping to the Antigravity, but I'm afraid my case will not help you much since I've been lucky (so far) with no codes triggered either with the original battery or after the swap.

    Florida members

Hi Floridian members, As more Emira owners from Miami and the South Florida area have joined our forum recently, I'd like to gauge your interest in organizing a Car and Coffee get together. If you're in this designated area, and you're interested in participating, please let me know so we can...

Cool. I'll try to set up a location and date for all of us in this area via our Florida Members thread.

    Hello from Miami

Hi Chriscpm, Welcome. Not sure if you're aware, but there's a thread entitled "Florida Members". There seems to be enough of us from Miami and the South Florida area to merit organizing a Cars and Coffee meet sometime soon.

    Water in Engine Compartment

My solution has been to wedge a precut piece of 3" wide neoprene foam strip (I fold it in half to create a proper seal) and place it in the inside section the vent, between the rear glass bottom and trunk lid surface. When done with hosing down the car, I squeegee out the water that remains in...

    Lightweight battery

Installed the T6/L2 40AH about 6 months ago. Despite initially being left a little loose after tightening the bracket, it was secured firmly by wedging a small strip of rubber trim on the inner section of the bracket. No issues, so far, it has worked flawlessly.

How are alloy wheels manufactured ?

I came across this YouTube video today, which I found educational. I never imagined how many steps were involved in their manufacturing process. Having seen this, one thing is for sure, I'll never again complain about how expensive they are.

    Lightweight battery

I'm not absolutely sure, but 1 hour sounds a bit excessive. The only reference I've come across regarding battery disconnect waiting time was when I changed the haptic steering wheel buttons for the GRP press ones, where they recommended waiting 5-10 minutes before disconnecting the airbag...

    Lightweight battery

My Antigravity drained once on me some time ago, but I was my bad, and Its remote kick start feature worked flawlessly to start the engine. It hasn't lost charge since then, even without needing tender maintenance, and btw, I drive the Emira only sporadically.

What did you do to your Emira today?

Not sure if you've seen this picture of the guys who did a sound system upgrade in the UK. They also did a meticulous soundproofing job on the doors resembling a jigsaw puzzle. The picture could help in planing for your project, if you choose to go ahead with it. Looks painful, but I may take a...

    Eibach Lowering Spring Development Opportunity

Not sure if the proposal is to promote Eibach to make shorter springs for the Emira, but if so, what is the envisioned advantage versus the current lowering solution of the GRP sleeves? Is it cost, weight saving, further height reduction, ride dynamics/ride quality, a combination of these, or is...

If you sold your EMIRA what’s next?

Coincidentally, this is aIso one I drooled over as a teenager and almost (another big regret) bought one during the initial stages of COVID. Imagine... it was in pristine shape and seller was asking only $34k for it. For me, it's not a brand thing, domestic vs. foreign or muscle vs exotic...

If you sold your EMIRA what’s next?

Yes, at 64 yrs old myself, I also remember them as much less expensive within the realm of Ferrari, but never really cheap for its time. Lately, they have appreciated like crazy. IMO, similar to the Emira, the F355 is a timeless design and one I should have bought a long, long time ago. I...

Rattle/scraping noise when accelerating from 1000rpm to 2000rpm

From part of your description, it seems to be what is characteristically a sound of the V6 when engaging 1st and 2nd gears and low rpm. Take a look at the thread "V6 Manual - are these sounds normal?" and see if you identify with the same experience of other members. Hope it helps.

    📓 Journals Speedy Emira Build

It should, but if your trunk was closed when it drained, you'd have to access the emergency pull cable to open it, since there's no keyed latch access to the trunk.

The Antigravity's last resort remote start works really well too, should it drain to the point of not firing up with the car's flip start button. How do I know? I left something on accidentally overnight which drained it, and the next day, using the remote, it fired up on first attempt, saving...
