The likely delay of the EV Elise can have consequences on the continuation of the Emira

Id say 0% an electric elise will happen. Also Lotus had continued to make heavy vehicles against the wishes of us hardcore folk. This seems like a money has dried up problem.

Do you notice a ticking noise during acceleration?

I was told all new shifter cables would fix it, that or finding the sweet spot when adjusting them. I declined the new cables as it would involve gutting a decent amount of the interior.

Do you notice a ticking noise during acceleration?

Crazy Question, can I modify the Emira have a removable roof?

The wildshied mounts on the Elise will break if you apply to much pressure on them.

Lotus Emira vs 2023 Corvette Z06

I liked the quote that the Emira is NOT slow, its just the Corvette is insanely fast.

    Navigation

Its horrible. I had the streets disappear on a drive where I had no idea where I was. You also lose the ability to zoom while driving..what sense does that make? I used the Android Auto then took some really deep backroads where I lost service and I was so pissed because the Lotus Navi was my...

Crazy Question, can I modify the Emira have a removable roof?

I would feel 10k would be the right price to have a professional do it. That will include designing a latching system so the top does not fly off at speed. I would first start by seeing which business would even take this on. I did mine myself but I wouldn't recommend it unless you have the...

Crazy Question, can I modify the Emira have a removable roof?

Yeah, with enough money...I converted my 85 Rx7 into a Targa. Once thing you would have to ensure is you are not destroying the structural integrity of the car. I would be interested in stress tests with G's and how much the roof helps reduce that stress. If you remove that, the stress will be...

    registration charge upon purchase

Thats not true. I didnt have to pay sales tax or register the Emira I bought in Indiana. Edit- California should have paperwork stating you will register/pay taxes for it in Cali. The dealer does not want to be on the hook for the taxes if you dont pay them.

Late Breaking News!: Man thinks hot air can defy physics and not enter rolled down windows.

Way too much hot air with the windows down

Breaking news: Hot air is hot. Late Breaking Solution: Roll up windows. In all seriousness, it's just the design of the car. I would say some 3d printed materials could potentially redirect the flow.

Breaking News: Having your windows down in 100 degree heat will heat the inside of the car up.

Has Anyone Titled an Emira in Montana?

Montana will allow you to create a LLC very easily there, which is why a lot of people do that. From what I hear they are cracking down the the people using this method to dodge taxes. So its probably just going under extra scrutiny and will be done in due course.

US Owners - rolling up/down windows with Key FOB?

I brought this up in a thread as well. I want to be able to pop the windows before I get in to let the hot air out. Why was it disabled? Or just a accident it was left out?

Income/Finances needed to justify Emira purchase?

Household income is worthless at 140k since you need to break it down to what your monthly income is. 140k seems like a lot but with taxs..insurance...retirement that number could be really lower. So build outa budget, and if you can afford it, go for it.

Manual shift not going into 1st, 2nd, reverse

Let me ask you this, did you have the ringing mechanical noise during acceleration for those 930 miles? That may be a warning sign. Def sounds like a shifting cable, you can look in the engine comp and view it to see.

Do you notice a ticking noise during acceleration?

No, totally different sound. This is mechanical.
