I’ve had the same “pop” sound. Opening the door, sometimes randomly when driving. Sounds like the subwoofer to me as well.

I think that is for future cars, but the Emira First Editions have none of those features.

Update: Mechanic was able to get it into first, but now it won’t go into 5th or 6th. He got it into the shop and will investigate tomorrow. He seemed to think it’s something simple that let go and allowing the shifter to bind up. More to come.

Those blasted British field mice! You suggest an easy temporary fix (temporary only in that it would bug you enough that you’d want to order a new lead). I wonder how long it would take that new lead to get in?

Lotus of DC is backed up with service requests, so my car will likely not get in for service for potentially 2 weeks.
