mine will be delivered with Cup2 for sure. If the dealer does not want to keep the car till the end of the winter, it'll be towed to my home garage, no driving happening till april hehe
Talked to the dealer in Montreal about a week ago, they knew North America would get 700 allocations, that they would get the amount of allocations they have in the next few weeks. Without giving me official confirmation, he said chances are very good I get my car in 2022 since I'm #4 in line...
If they deliver during winter, I don't really mind as long as my dealer can keep the car till spring lol
Here we regularly get temperatures around -20 celsius (-5 farenheight) and 20-30cm (8-12 inches) of snow a day during winter time
Seriously... I have no brand tattooed on my chest, I owned almost any brand Japanese and Euro. BMWs are great fun cars, they have their issues, just like any other car... That's fanboy x1000
Can't wait to see the next M2! :D
what is your question exactly? You want specs like width and offset of front/rear wheels?
You can assume the width of the rims are going to be different front to back by the width of the tires and you already know front and rear are going to be 20 inches rims from the tire size (and multiple...
Spoke to my dealer salesman last friday. He says so far the cars are expected to be produced juin/july for delivery septembre/october at the earliest. So not configuration Q4 2022, but delivery of the first cars Q4 2022, apparently.
Which dealer are you doing business with Canadian buyers?
I think you need to come to the evidence you are doing business with a dealership, not with Lotus directly.
There is a lot of political behind the scene in every brand. Lotus has no choice to reward dealers that have been supporting the brand and have been performing well in the last few years...
Yes i totally get that, that's why I said somewhere between 10 and 20 depending on how lotus shuffles allocations between dealers (taking into account their ranking/relationship with the constructor)
It's a guesstimate, but sounds about realistic.
Great info @GatorMotorsport.
I was told the same by my local dealer about the 700 allocations for north america. If you do the math, that should come out at about 10 to 20 allocations by dealer, depending on how Lotus will decide to shuffle the allocations between the dealers.
They are a track tire. I use them on my GT4, they have immense grip, but they don't handle the rain very well at all. Let alone cold temperatures. My GT4 becomes snappy during late Canada fall months (october/november)
Are the tire dimensions in the first post confirmed?
Did not get the chance to see any cars or samples, but from what I read and saw online, Seneca has some light gold metal flakes in it and my guess is that it's what they are trying to mimic in the sunlight render
but you don't have the choice... What's the point of this thread?
Every province have their own plating rules, so you won't find some kind of trick that works across Canada...
I'm 30 and sadly I kinda feel the urge to buy these kind of cars while they still exist, so I have to make some kind of compromise in other hobbies to be able to afford them. I'm still very fortunate tu be able to afford such a car at all tough.
Am-I the only who's anoyed the lower black pack does not include black tail pipes and rear badging?
Love the new configurator though, will surely help my decision.
the emira has announced performance figures that are in line with the competition (Cayman GTS/GT4, BMW M2 mostly). So I'm not sure why all the fuss about the performance.
I have 385hp in my 2016 GT4 and it's plenty for track and road use and it has the same 0-100 as the emira.
Sure the Z06...
I had a talk with my Canadian dealership last week. They are expecting first deliveries in September, so that kinda fits what you are saying about homologation being little later in North America.
personally, I never use the auto revmatch on the streets.
Although, when i'm on track and going 220-230km/h, heading into a heavy braking zone, I appreciate having my left foot firmly applying the brakes while not having to handle the gas pedal. It just allows the peace of mind to brake as late...
As I said, that I can understand. But keed in mind some Emira customers might not get their car for 2-3 years, so that's almost the same thing in my book... They take the money and hold on to it not even knowing if they will be able to fulfill the order within a reasonable delay. At least...
most of the replies are fanboy replies... I totally get the anger you can feel when being told by a dealer you can't order one, I've had a hard time with this for years as well.
But saying the GT4 is a one trick poney and that it needs a turbo and it does not justify it's price, that's far...
I'm still holding on to my #4 spot in Montreal, but the more I think abour it the more I think I'll wait for the base edition, wait for the reviews, wait for the first feedback from owners and then spec it with only the desired options.
I'm not in a rush as the Cayman GT4 is plenty of fun for...
I dont' really know the car market well in Australia, but my understanding is that all cars are expensive over there lol
As mentionned, compared to the offering from other car makers, it seems the price is just right...
@LotusVancouver, what is the policy when you hold a deposit and want to wait for the base version? Can you keep your spot in line while giving the chance for other deposit holders to order the FE?
The configurator shows the black tips when black pack is applied, but the PDF shared by NoFear99 says the upper black pack (roof and mirrors) includes black rear lotus badge and black exhaust tips...
Have a look (page 9)...
I'm not turned off and still want this car, I'll simply wait for the base edition and spec it like I want. No rush on my side.
The car is beautyful and is a rare thing nowadays. Supercharged engines are pretty rare and their driving characteristics are awsome. Used to own a B8.5 Audi S4 and...
you can call it scam as long as you want, nobody is forcing you to buy anything... I don't really understand this attitude, that's marketing, maybe done wrong, you be the judge, but calling it scam is laughable IMO.
I'm guessing you are new to the game, you can put a deposit down for any car before the price is announced. I personally know many people that holds deposits for the new Z06, even before the price is announced, same goes for Porsche, had a deposit down for 2 years on a GT4...
