Lol...everyone says not to worry about resale. Until they have to sell it and nobody else wants it or it commands a lower price due to the color combinations. I see this in "custom" built houses a lot.

Well, I've pretty much already decided to wait for the base as I do want more color options and also get any kinks the FE'S may have out. But if they keep extending the FE production, when will the base editions ever start?

This just doesn't make sense to me. So will the first edition just always be available until people stop putting deposits in for them? And will this delay the base models due to the indefinite continuation of the FE'S. I just can't wrap my head around this.

We have similar problems here as well, but you have to remember, this isn't normal and will not be forever.

The Spyder is great, but if you want a top that goes down with a button, may want to look at the Boxster instead. Not sure the manual top would deter me from the Spyder though as it looks like a baby Speedster. 😁

The way I'm told it will work is that the dealers will start taking orders in March. Each dealer will be assigned a specific number of allocations. Order to delivery is approximately 6 weeks. Production will start in Sept for October '22 deliveries. This is saying there are no more delays. And...

Definitely appreciate wolf's opinion and his experience with top notch cars, but I do have to agree with those who said you have to compare apples to apples. Most people are going to think the Emira is way more expensive than it is...even after seeing the interior. There aren't a ton of choices...

Ya I'd have to go back and look again, but if I remember correctly, Lotus themselves said it wasn't the correct Magma. But I think it just had to do with a lack of metallic in the paint?

@FederGigant Yup...same with the F type. Just pull a fuse. I actually added a module to my 991.1 to keep it in sport mode at all times.

Oh trust me...that's been a constant battle in my head as well. I just already feel like we've been waiting a lifetime and we still have probably a year before any of us get an FE. I may be able to hold out for a base just to get the other colors but man! I just don't know!!

Yup...saw it several years ago. Great video. I agree with you about the color....until/if the unfortunate happens and you have a mismatched panel. Which happens on easy paint colors. Obviously worst case scenario though.

Mazda's soul red looks like it does not only because of the color itself, but the process. It is many thin layers of paint to create that wet look. It's gorgeous ...but also a nightmare to match should anything paint related happen.

I will say, there were a couple times in my 991.1 GTS that I wished for a bit more power. Loved the car to death, but sometimes I just felt it lacked that torque that threw you back in your seat.
