So Bell & Colvill got back to me. They only heard about the i4 delay from customers contacting them saying they had received "the call". It appears the agents are being told even less than customers currently in the queue. They have no idea when they will get demonstraters. Total omnishambles.

I dropped into the Lotus Piccadilly a couple of hours ago to see if they had any pearls of wisdom. It was a longshot but they did say that if you put in a order for an i4 now its an 18 month wait. No info on when demonstraters would be delivered to agents or when the first i4 customer delivers...

Why would emissions be any higher than the A45s? If it is to do with emissions certification why would this have been left so late in the day? Surely this is something to be completed before releasing the car to the press?

All of this makes me annoyed even though I backed out of the i4 in July and took an orphaned V6! A process that was not as smooth as it should have been. I was still hoping to test drive the i4 but Lotus HQ have completely stuffed this up and now come across as dishonest, disingenuous...

Agreed that none of this makes sense. However, Bell & Colvill told me back in May that i4 demos would arrive in August once the press drives were done, then it was September and now we’re looking at January. If there wasn’t an issue why delay demonstraters? i4 cancellations from Europe must be...

That sounds exactly the same as mine. Resistor motor replacement solves it

4 days but I timed it nicely with being on holiday. They originally said it was a 9 hour job.

I had the same issue and mine was done by Bell & Colvill a couple of weeks ago. The resistor motor was replaced but in the process they found a problem with the “control unit” which they also replaced. Everything is working perfectly now.

I must admit I wasn’t completely convinced but it looks too ”orangey“ to be Magma. And I’ve got a magma!

You would hope so but that means they are delivering Chinese cars with the gearbox issue
