I actually laughed at the features being presented. I think they should have just focused on cool stuff like the suspension, the design details, etc. Not..........tech that's been out for 10-15 years.

Is there an "IND" equivalent to Lotus parts, where quality and fitment is a safe bet? I've used IND quite a bit for my M2 Competition, and love that a lot of their mods are sourced from OEM parts.

Yeah I ended up getting a custom X5M (the all metal one) key FOB made using the internals from the disgustingly cheap plastic M2 Comp key. You'd think for an M car they would just default to the nicer metal X5M key, and not use the same keys from base model 2/3/4 Series.

Do we know if that key is all plastic or has metal parts?

Agreed; IMO, if you want lighter, then you sacrifice more creature comforts and everyday usability. I think the Emira is a perfect balance of supercar looks, everyday usability, lightness (for what it is), and incredible value for money.

Never really cared for comparisons. Always just got what I like and go with it. At the end of the day, I just want a Lotus Emira, because it fits exactly what I want in a weekend toy.

I don't understand the fascination with cars that "need" to do both street and track. The EVO should have compared the upcoming Emira GT4 to the Cayman GT4 if they want to compare apples to apples. Eh, but what can you do, some journalists want to be purposefully controversial to stir the pot.

NGL, if I had access to an Alpine A110, that's a no-brainer to me. It's because Alpine isn't sold here that I am going with an Emira.

I have this weird thing with dashcams. I refuse to ever install one because the curse of the dashcam is, when you install it, something will happen. But prior to installing one, nothing ever happens. Which is good. :ROFLMAO:

Looks. Because let's be honest with ourselves. We now live in an era of ugly cars. I thought about getting an Evora a few years ago, but it was still just too "kit car" on the inside. Lotus finally got things right with the Emira.

I actually love my M2 Comp's seats. They look great, are ultra comfortable, and I enjoy adjusting the side bolsters electronically for a snug fit. Hoping the Emira's seats are just as good, if not better.
