    Wheels rocks chips

I have 8K miles - and have a couple.. plus what I would call 'road rash' - I think it's having gloss black wheels. I did take the Lotus UK 'Wheel repair' insurance which I will likely use

Lotus Emira - Road Trip Vehicle?

I took mine down through France to the Pyrenees - it was epic on the mountain roads - especially with the window down, v6 howling against the rock faces... Then I drove home 800 miles in a day (due to a 'messing about' Mercedes) and it took it in its stride.. it will be great on your trip

What did you do to your Emira today?

So this was at 7am this morning in Tarbes (Southern France very near to the border with Spain) And this is 10 hours and 700 miles later on the Eurotunnel train back to the UK I was not uncomfortable once, feel ok, and the car did 33mpg on that trip at around 80mph (French speed limit). KEF...

    Engine Light

Any owners able to tell me answer to my question above ? I can't remember if that light only goes out once the engine is started, or if it should go out with the ignition switched on (hold down start button touching no pedals for a few seconds). Could someone confirm for me please ?

    Engine Light

My engine light came on today - have locked the car and started it again, and it still there. As the car is in the garage, I don't want to start it in the morning just to see if the light has gone away, but I can't remember if that light only goes out once the engine is started, or if it should...

    Emira performance - disappointing?

Glad you have found a car that you like and sorry to hear of the problems - I do agree with the limiter.. but the Emira is so much more of an event than a 911, and I reckon will be just as quick across country even with less performance

Poll for Those with Paint Blistering / Bubbling Defect

As in - Its almost impossible to see where it was now - so either I flattened the blister and now I have a hole which is so small I can't really see it, or it was a touch up where the paint was soft, and I flattened it... I guess I need to wait to see if anything horrible appears

Poll for Those with Paint Blistering / Bubbling Defect

OK.. so MAYBE I am lucky - or a fool.... So looking at my 'blister' - It looked very similar to a touch up you would do with touch up paint.. so I wondered whether when it went to the dealer- they did a couple of touch ups for me that this was one I didn't notice... rather than a blister - Using...

    Tolls / tags for Europe

I use https://www.emovis-tag.co.uk/ works well for France - Italy - you can get a different tag, or mobile app, and Switzerland, you need a Vignette which you can buy at petrol stations. For France - make sure you get a Crit'Air sticker too if you are driving through any cities

    Power cleaner/washer

One advice I would give - don't use a powerful pressure washer too close to the Emira, or fire water into the 'boomerang' vents. I think this is causing some of the electrical issues talking to various folks..
