I would probably add that long-term, the Emira engine is the more reliable of the two. Perhaps as a garage queen, the Supra with BMW drivetrain is acceptable.

The inline 6 Supra has over 380 HP and is underrated according to dyno tests. I think it puts out more than 380 HP at the drive wheels. It is hard to believe that it would beat the Emira on a track, although they may be close.

On my Dell monitor, the vivid red does look as if it has orange in it, but when I slide over the images to my ASUS monitor, there is less orange and a red that is closer to Ferrari red. I guess the color settings need to be calibrated so that I know which shade is correct.

If you want to eliminate the front end looks, just get a black car. The car will blend into traffic and parking lots - something the Emira will not ever do.

When I went to the annual HRE Wheels Open House event, this year, there were what looked like thousands of young, old, and everything in between there. Exotic cars were everywhere. Can you imagine the contrast to such an event that included primarily EV SUVs and sedans?

Does the McLaren have a steel body? If not, the bubbling may very well be coming from the inside and through the body material, if at all porous.

True. I recently saw a video by a McLaren repair shop in which one of the common causes of failure was an abraded coolant line. A new version with updated geometry is said to cure the problem.

Hopefully the line construction (pressure rating, ID, materials, etc) are similar.

So they should exceed 4000 rpm to test performance?
