Perhaps Europeans consider the AMG brand as superior to Toyota. I'm sure the majority of German buyers do. Here in the US, however, Toyota/Lexus stands for solid reliability. Just look at resale values.

Update: New-gen NSXs are coming down in price, enough so that they (2017 - 2019s) are within $15 - $20k of a new Emira. I have still yet to drive either but based upon the countless reviews I've read, the NSX is a rocket ship that can also be a silent but deadly submarine in its "silent" mode...

I just received an email, stating that Lotus will be giving test-drives at Pebble Beach in Monterey (Aug 16 - 19). Unfortunately, it is a 7 hour drive for me.

As someone who has done quite a bit of 3D design, I can assure you that often, things aren't as simple as they seem. A simple design change can result in issues you would never have guessed would happen. FEA can help only so much. Testing testing is often crucial.

I believe the Acura NSX, second generation took 5 years from its announcement until first deliveries. The good news was that all the bugs were fully fixed before the car made its way into consumer's hands. It has proven to be very reliable, as it should.

I'm checking for 2022 - 2023 i6 Premiums. The 2020s were down 47 hp, so they're out of he running. All are way overpriced. If I add 2021, there are 16 vs. 10 results. I guess I left out my filters from the discussion.😏

Used Supras are like used C8 Corvettes in that everyone is trying get rich selling them for way more than they are worth. However, when I look up Supras in Autotrader.com, there are very few, even when I select unlimited distance in the US.

Thats's always an option if the distance is within a day or two of driving. Shipping could be $1000 or more. Still, that'd be much less than $6000 ADM.

Yes, indeed. Can you imagine a brand new 2016 Acura NSX having the same issues? If they did, they were rare.

The big problem with GM is that they replace failed components/modules with the exact same thing. Chances are that it will fail again. And yes, those with leaky transmission cases were often sitting at the dealership for many weeks, waiting for the part to get in. Sound familiar?

They should send them to dealerships out here. They'll be snaped up, quickly. I'd like to test drive one with the i6.

The quantity of new Supras being shipped to dealerships is very low, so yes, pretty much every one arriving at a dealership is either pre-reserved or is snapped up, quickly, even with an ADM.

I guess as long as buyers pay the hostage fee, dealerships will keep expecting it. It's really sad.

Supras with the i6 here are being sold at $6k over MSRP. Even that would be too much for me.

Yes, but reliability allows/encourages those who would normally not consider buying one, to join the "club". I'm sure this was true of many buyers of the Honda S2000 and original Supra turbos on a lower income scale. I would love to have a McLaren 570S or GT but just can't stomach $10k repairs...

Actually, this price movement expert says the NSX is "a forgotten treasure." I wholeheartedly agree. It is rare in that it is so much more reliable than any other supercar.

Our 2006 Lexus RX400h, purchased in April, 2005, has not had a single drivability issue in 18 years. And as a Lexus moderator, I can assure you that the vast majority of Lexus vehicles have stellar reliability.
