Rivian did try to raise prices for reserved orders by customers. There was such an outrage that they had to rescind that decision. Maybe the same thing will happen in our case. I certainly hope so. By the way, I did create the poll in the Emira alternatives section.

That may to hard to say about the typical AMG engine, but I've never had one. Our Lexus with V6 never uses any oil after 5000 miles, even now that it is almost 18 years old and has 136,000 miles on it.

The NSX is said to be somewhat numb compared to say, the Evora/Emira, but it is very fast and I'm sure, reliable. Enjoy!

Used 570S coupes are typically close in cost to used Acura NSX cars, here in the US. I think you can imagine which would be more likely to need repairs more often.

I think I drove that car (5 laps) at Exotic Racing in Las Vegas in 2018. Keep in mind that the car is used and abused. I really doubt most of the issues she mentions would happen to the typical owner who drives the car 2000 miles per year (and not on the track).

How many miles were you planning to drive the car? If 12,000 per year, perhaps an LC500 would be ideal, especially if "bulletproof" is your goal.

I agree. McLaren has an awesome hybrid, as it seems to be a logical step to ensure that they don't end up with only EVs that are not supported by sufficient power stations. An ideal lightweight sportscar may never end up being fully electric if winning races is the ultimate goal.

While test-driving an orange 2021 Evora GT, I entered an intersection with an elderly driver sitting at the light in an orange 570S. They are amazing but not superior to the Evora in the handling department. Acceleration? Well, yes the 570S is a rocketship, so....

Well, actually yes, I have - a 2006 Lexus and a 2014 Mazda, neither of which had any failures that were not 5 year old batteries . My other Mazda, 2008 MX5 had a failed thermostat in its 15 year life.
