    Also, well in my case anyway, my original delivery was March2022. Since then the road fund licence has gone up £400 and now the interest rate up by 2%. These delays are costing us money thats for sure.

    Sounds like a good idea to me. Although, with no income at Lotus for nearly a year, they are probably putting our deposits towards paying the wages.

    I think i have said this before, but names out of a hat seems to be the current way of determining the build schedule. Well it is certainly not deposit order thats for sure.

    Having watched an interview with Matt Windle, he said that component costs and transport cost have gone up. Given that in the update email in June, in front of the so called first customer car, he did say the price we signed up for would be honoured. Does anyone else think that all these delays...

    It seems that quite a few on this forum have been told the same. If this does come to pass, and seeing is believing with Lotus having 2 weeks off for Christmas, it is going to be a very busy December at Hethel and Upper Heyford to get all these cars out.

    Yes, i am finding it progressively harder to believe what Lotus are telling us. Because, not to put to fine a point on it, everything they tell us is not exactly set in stone.

    Not received an updated email yet. Last information received was November build December delivery, originally February build March delivery, this from a 5th October 2019 deposit. Patience waring very thin now.

    There is a 12 month waiting list for Porsche, with definitely no chance of queue jumping, unlike Lotus. If i was to order a Porsche today, which do you think would arrive first, Porsche or Emira. What with the endless "it will not be this month but next" could be a close run thing.

    I have also thought of a few changes to my spec. But the way Lotus are, you could imagine them saying "It has crossed your mind about changing your spec, so as punishment, that will be an extra 12 months delay for you"

    You could always ask "priority" customer Harry if you can have a look at his. He should have it by now, as Lotus have pulled out all the stops to get his car produced.

    Lotus Silverstone had their Magma Red car delivered yesterday. It has Ice Grey Leather, diamond Cut Wheels, Touring Suspension and F1 Tyres. Can't wait to get the call for a test drive. Delivery video on Lotus & Caterham Silverstone Twitter.

    It is all well and good for Lotus. But having been ordered by Lotus to make many changes to their showrooms, ie the new corporate identity. I think this is really bad for the dealers, how are they supposed to make an honest buck?

    Yes, surely the powers that be have noticed the many orders that have been cancelled. Well you would think so, as this is lost revenue for the company. And this should get them thinking, we should find out the reasons for this, and start asking questions 🤔

    Probably not. I do think that the powers that be should be politely informed about The Lotus Customer Experience, from our point of view.
