Apparently Irena from Los Gatos said they're only slotting 20 test drives while Tom Sutton from Boardwalk is slotting 120 test drives out of the 500 people who tried to reserve a test drive. My FE slot is 22/22 but I moved up to slot 11 since they've already put in 11 orders that Lotus allocated...

So Los Gatos sent out invites and test drive to other depositors far down the list. Apparently every single driving slot has been booked. I should of called Boardwalk :(

Doesn't surprise me. My dealer said allocations for all FEs hasn't even been fulfilled yet. Looks like it's a waiting game for any car you want unless you're willing to pay. These are the current markups/waiting period for a US car in California. C8? Please deposit and wait a year or pay...

They have suspension like this called air cup lift system by stanceparts. However, I don't think it'll be easily fitted this early since it doesn't even have a prototype.

Los Gatos has me down for a V6 FE. Are you guys sure it's all being spoken for? Those are the numbers someone floated around but what if those numbers and dates changed due to delays? It wouldn't surprise me since Lotus is 6-9 months late on their deliveries. The fact that I moved up from #22...

I don't know, I'm just told by my dealer that Lotus allocated them 22 FE Slots and that they're still working through them as soon as they get in contact with Lotus. I asked my SA and she confirmed that I'm still inline to order an FE. She said Lotus has not given them any further updates...

Update, from Los Gatos. Not all FE cars has gotten an allocation. I moved up from 22/22 to 11/22, that means 11 people dropped out while waiting.

I'm a July 2021 depositor with the last FE allocation but my dealer has not contacted me to lock in my spec. Originally I was told sometime in September to lock in my spec. Still nothing as of today.

Wow the sport suspension is what I imagined it to be on US roads. I'm definitely going to be getting the touring setup.

I almost bought a 2nd hand NSX before the Emira was announced. I'm glad I waited. I passover a NC1 and 99 NA2.

The issue with this test: They took a touring setup and compared it with track/race focus cars and then said it was too soft on turn in despite knowing the fact. Why didn't they just requested sports suspension with cup 2s.. I'm pretty sure if CAR magazine asked Lotus they will happily oblige.

No 2nd thoughts on canceling. However, I did cancel a 718 GT4 for the Emira and I made the right choice. I also don't want to be living in 2nd gear all day long outside of a track. What's the fun in going from 1st-2nd->6th gear? If you want all out performance just buy a c8? It's cheaper...

A bit of an update. My order is not going in until September 2022. That means Los Gatos is only getting 4 orders per month. Disappointing.

I paid a deposit on 7/24/21 and I got reserved confirmation on 7/26/21. My current position at Los Gatos is 22/22. For those who reserved after July 24 2021, you will not be able to get your FEs delivered this year unless someone drops out. FYI, I still haven't gotten a final order request put...
