Blackbushe Air Day - this Saturday 14th June

Just in case anyone is interested, there are 2 Lotus spaces left at the Blackbushe Air Day this Saturday - open to any Lotus car owner but you need to register with the event today if interested so the organiser can get tickets organised. SELOC have a 'Best of British' club stand with (up to)...

    Dash Cam Install tips

Very helpful, I wanted to know how well a windscreen rear facing camera worked. Looks like it works pretty well & so no need for a rear camera I think which saves me the hassle of running wires through the cabin.

How to adjust rear bumper ?

I just had a good feel round on the wheel well round the back of the bumper and I could feel how it went together, there's no clips at the far outside edge of the bumper. Using one hand pulling down on the bumper to free it up from the quarter panel, I used the palm of my second hand to see if...

Possible to Adjust Door Mirror Position

OK that's useful to know. I tried the reset too just in case - that made no difference. I had a closer look at how the mirror works. The door mirror as a whole rotates out when you unlock the car and literally drops into a notched position to hold it in a fixed place. You can lift and push the...

Possible to Adjust Door Mirror Position

Thanks for the replies. The car is an early build so maybe that is the cause. Mine is a UK car so RHD. There seems to be no adjustment on the mirror glass fitment. But I wonder if there is some adjustment on the pivot/gears/motor/whatever that puts the mirror in and out for the parking/locked...

Possible to Adjust Door Mirror Position

Does anyone know if it is possible to adjust the door mirror glass position? My passenger side window is great but my drivers side window does not move far out enough on the mirror controls. Half of the mirror is filled with the car at full right adjustment. I had a look at the service manual...

    Bodywork Protection

Front, wing mirrors, around the flanks of the car and as cryptovince mentions the windscreen. By the time you've paid to have that done you might as well get the rest of the car done. Actually, scratch that, sod's law states the most likely places to get a stone chip is the place you didn't...

    Central England meet

I think the idea is to get a load of us together to have a special meet-up to commiserate orchardbike all the problems has had with his Emira and to celebrate the fact that he finally has it back (fingers crossed, strokes rabbit foot, touches fibre-glass, etc). But that "Lotus in the Peaks"...

Emira JB4 Tuning Now Available for I4 & V6 Cars!

With all this talk about maps and octane ratings it might be worth pointing out that US and UK/EU use different scales for octane ratings. UK/EU 95 is about the same as US 91/93 UK/EU 98/99 is about the same as US 95 I think that is right - please feel free to correct me?

    Dark Verdant - Sacramento, CA

Welcome to the club. Glad you are enjoying the car - you probably deserve to after a 3 year wait. I spent a month in Northern CA many years ago but on the opposite side nearer the ocean, Russian River and Clearlake area. If I remember correctly you have some lovely roads to drive in North CA -...

📓 Journals AJ’s Magma V6 Manual Sport Suspension

I didn't like the steering wheel shape either when I got the car. But with use (4000+ miles) it has grown on me - I may even be starting to like the shape now. And ditto with the motorcyclists - I got a thumbs-up from a very fast Kawasaki biker right after I have picked my car up, which was nice.

Lotus introduces Emira V6 SE and Emira Turbo - showroom debut in September 2025.

Both the two new colours are very nice. That purple may be my second choice now after yellow - although I don't think there is a colour yet I've seen that the Emira doesn't look stunning in. I wonder if any of these upgrades are software only ones that work with existing First Edition hardware...

How to adjust rear bumper ?

Same with mine. Passenger side is perfect but drivers side sticks out 5mm at the top, hardly noticeable but once I noticed it's bugging me. I was going to get the dealer to fix it at the next service under warranty.

Essex (UK) Breakfast Meeting - Sunday 29th June

Would love to go as Barleylands is just 10 minutes down the road but can't make that weekend. Next time for sure. I also recognise the Essex Lotus registration - from the Seloc Breakfast Meet at Poplar Nurseries in May. Is this the same meet just a different venue - or just a different meet up?

    Central England meet

20th July I'm not sure orchardbike can make the 21st June as mentioned in his previous post (I could do 21st June too any excuse for a drive :)) Grounds Cafe But Fabrice or Caffeine & Machine also fine, having not been to any of these I have no preference - as long as there's coffee I'm happy.

    UK Lotus Owners Club.

SELOC is pretty good - https://forums.seloc.org/ - its the only other one than this forum that I use regularly. It's been active since 2003 when I joined with my Elise. SELOC was South-East Lotus Owners Club but it moved to be all of the UK and Europe fairly quickly and also there plenty of...

    I4 with Milltek, hp bump?

When I spoke to Milltek (although about something else) we did briefly touch on this. The guy I spoke to said there is a performance boost from removing the cat' and having the valves open but it was not something they want to guarantee and may vary from car to car so they will not state any...

    KEF - wired vs wireless

You are probably correct. I think maybe people are getting confused here and hearing things that are not there. Bluetooth audio is lossy when we are talking about the sound sent by a bluetooth device (such as an iPod or mobile phone) to a bluetooth audio device (such as bluetooth headphones or...

Boot letters are held on with black double sided tape. I'm not sure about the bonnet badge.

What did you do to your Emira today?

Your PPF guys may just be being over cautious here. Just get some dental floss and "saw" through the black double sided tape holding the letters on. Doing this gets the letters off with no stress on them & they won't get broken - very easy to do this yourself. Also it might help to know that the...

Bumper plugs close to Seneca Blue?

If you are not happy in the end with this fix, another way would be to get hold of some wrap, something like black or carbon fibre (maybe matching the splitter) and to wrap all/most of the lower lip of the radiator intake. You've probably already thought of this but I mentioned it just in case.

    Central England meet

Well we're making the big assumption that something else on Orchardbike's seemingly cursed Emira doesn't break - that said there can't be much actually left to break. So fingers crossed. MK is fine for me. Most of June/July I can probably make but I'd have to confirm nearer the time based on...

Ditto, I got my Emira in Feb too. Although I still currently have my Elise S1, not sure if I will keep the Elise as I nearly always just drive the Emira these days. If you are in Suffolk there's a few Emira owners on SELOC and we occasionally meet up. Welcome to the club. Mist White seems to...

If you are in the UK for a while you should get up to Scotland if you have time there's some fantastic roads up there. It looks very nice. I've not seen many white Emiras and never one with a tan interior, unusual but it suits the car. The yellow callipers are also a nice touch. Welcome to the gang.
