This is something I had been told too by Milltek. The 3rd cat is only needed for US export - not legally needed in the UK. Also I I double checked and had my Emira with the Milltek valve controller and 3rd cat delete checked for emissions; it was fine the the UK MOT and also London ULEZ.

According to the paint thread "new doors have a dark black/blue primer." on the interior skin - you need to look up from the bottom of the door through one of the vents to check.

Does Convenience Mode do this? Not tried it myself just reading the manual.

Thanks for that, I learnt something new. I'd assumed the USB sockets were power-only - but from this post I checked the user manual and read that the USB ports in the armrest supply data as well. Nice to know.

I assume it is a thing on the Emira - at least according to the manual and also the other threads on here about the opposite problem of their hill-hold assist not releasing. :unsure:

Just re-reading the manual and I can see that on the images of the tour and sports main dash panel there's a square, green auto-hold icon, although this is not mentioned anywhere in the text. I have never seen this illuminate.

Thanks for the reply. Car is in first ready to pull away. The hills I've tested on are steep enough for the car to start rolling backwards immediately but admittedly not really steep. I can see if I can find a really steep hill somewhere and try the test again.

When I got my Elise 111S new in 1999, it didn't smell of glue. If I remember it mostly smelt of "new car" mainly the leather from the seats. But then again, having been out with the girlfriend when testing new perfumes, apparently I have absolutely no sense of smell.

I'd not seen an Emira in the flesh at all until I did my test drive - I still haven't seen another on the road :( I saw an Evora this weekend though whilst out in the new Emira, we gave each other a wave. Hopefully, I'll get on a few SELOC runs/events this year and maybe see you there!
