My guess is that in the US - fair or not - nobody wants to pay 6 figures for anything with only 4 cylinders. And a lot of the appeal of this car is that it's the last manual. If you wanted an auto, you'd just buy a C8 or a PDK.

I asked a while back if it would be possible to roll the deposit into purchase of something from PP’s inventory, got a hard no. So I’ll wait for delivery at this point and then decide whether to keep it. If I live long enough.

Curious if the larger diameter front wheel might have impacted steering feel a bit relative to the previous models. The Evora GT was fantastic on my test drive; I'm hoping the Emira preserves as much as possible.

Has anyone else had the same complaints about the steering? (finding it a distinct step down in communication w/rt Evora/Exige/Elise)

My apologies for the duplication. If you go far enough back in this thread you'll cycle through the 5 stages of grief more than a few times. The only thing Lotus has delivered to the US since 2021 is disappointment.

I missed the elusive screenshot, but if your source sees US cars going down the production line, a couple of things to look for: 1.) bumperettes on the rear? 2.) lack of factory-installed front plate mounts.

Interesting! Great info. So many pins on that grey plug, so few wires actually connected. I'm guessing the big black/white pair are power and ground. The yellow plug only has 4 pins total, I'm wondering if it's a serial bus or something.

Honestly unless you’re listening while parked with the engine off, super high precision audio seems like the wrong goal to me. Road and engine noise will add so much color that I’d rather just have power to reproduce the whole spectrum while driving with the windows open.

I would say there's an absence of evidence that the US FE1.0 cars are on time. Lotus typically announces delays right after the current deadline has passed.
