Have you tried disconnecting your car battery for an hour or two? Apparently the software won’t update unless this is done, and there’s no guarantee all dealers are doing this. Could be a very easy fix if you haven’t tried that 🤷🏽‍♂️

Personally, I think PPF talk in this thread is fairly relevant if the cars are being paint corrected, ceramic coated, or PPFd by the dealer as part of the delivery to the customer.

My wife submitted a $2500 deposit in September 2021, then was expecting to deposit more upon the spec/build slot confirmation in December 2023, but the dealer said no further deposit was necessary… she was told if the allocation (and $2500) was abandoned they could sell the car easily enough.

So, to be safe… after the dealer performs the update WE should probably disconnect the battery for an hour or two to make sure the update actually takes (in case the dealer never performed that step).

I think the amount of water ingress in many different places with this car across this forum is very disturbing. Especially when it’s found near electronic components. How in the world would water get in the cabin behind trim pieces??

I called a dealer that opened up 45 minutes away from us and asked this specific question to be sure… they said they would perform warranty work with no problem. The original dealer is 6+ hours away.

I agree… I sort of like the Aerie rear spoiler in matte, but still on the fence. All the other external carbon fiber bits I’ve seen are too much imo. Ricer does come to mind. The height with the GRP lowering sleeves looks fantastic though.

I’m wondering if the collection of water in the door contributed to the paint blisters, and whether others with paint blistering should check their doors for standing water… The composite material is reportedly known to hold in moisture, so it would make sense to me that any unpainted surface...

That’s an amazing price… our dealer quoted $8500 full PPF (XPel) with their in house shop.

Our dealer told us the orders for the FE (V1/V2) in North America were all spoken for… so, I’d imagine they are talking about the base V6 with upgrade options.
