Question about Emira storage of sunglasses

I agree… but I think there are just some people out there that want to buy accessories for the sake of minor improvements with convenience. Products exist in every market that aren’t really needed but are appreciated by some 🤷🏽‍♂️

Air con known issue -no fix yet [EDIT: now with official fix]

A recall is typically only issued if deemed a safety issue. An HVAC problem is a safety issue imo when the HVAC is not able to defog windows sufficiently in cold weather… but other than that I’m sure Lotus would just leave it a TSB that is addressed when a car comes in for service. Here’s an...

Looks like my wife’s Emira is not affected and the shield was likely added on the production line. This is probably the single most useful post I have seen in this forum in the couple of months I’ve been a member. THANK YOU

This is what I’ve done for years. If they don’t have a paper towel dispenser at the Chevron I fill up at, I have napkins in my glovebox. For those of you looking for something to buy there’s this: https://a.co/d/imJtmoh

Yeah, this isn’t a (problem) issue. My wife’s company car does this, and I believe my Lexus had a setting associated with double or single pulls on the door handle as well 🤔

Arch Guards / Mudflaps - anyone have these installed?

Also, perhaps this is something a member with a larger 3D printer footprint would be able to make and sell in the near future? Possibly out of TPU to cut down on noise. I’d buy that.

Arch Guards / Mudflaps - anyone have these installed?

Well, they’re back ordered on the page, but they DO have another option. Personally I like the plain black ones more than the CF. They’d at least come closer to matching the lower black pack. Glossy CF looks out of place imo.

I thoroughly detailed and changed the oil in my Porsche just yesterday… very easy and cheap if you have the proper tools (they don’t cost much). With this info in mind it explains why the visible covers on each side don’t look any different on the upgraded Emiras. The dealer probably just cleans the cover up, spritzes it with Armor All, then puts it back looking like a new piece. The new shield is probably UNDER this cover on the...

If you can, do some experiments with a pitcher of water (or hose 🫢). See what gets wet and what doesn’t? Nice analysis Nova! I seriously love car communities for this very thing. It’s great talking about fun cars, but trying to problem solve is the single best aspect of car forums imo.

🤣 Well, we know people have had the repair done for a while and we still haven’t gotten any pics of that. It doesn’t help that the hood/bonnet isn’t all that easy to open up. Here are 4 points I can see with my little eyes that might see water intrusion depending on how forceful the water...

This is another pic (@KJD) from 8/2023 showing the same looking wing pieces from above. Don’t mind the red circle, but zoom in on the yellow circle. I wonder if this hole is present on both sides of the wing pieces? That is a water funnel if I’ve ever seen one 😟

Air con known issue -no fix yet [EDIT: now with official fix]

I also read somewhere that the side of the car the resistor funnel would be on may not affect water intrusion as much depending on it being a left hand or right hand drive car. Don’t know if there’s any merit to that.

Air con known issue -no fix yet [EDIT: now with official fix]

From others’ descriptions of the repair, this area “funnels” water down into the deeper recesses of the car where the resistor is located. That’s why they have to take fenders off. I don’t believe the resistor is visible with just the hood up. The shield prevents the funneling of water from what...
