The rumors of the Emira S have been around for some time now. Those posts go back to early 2024. I think it’s fair to say that the base Emira will come first and then IF the S comes, it will likely be only for EX US markets to meet US emissions regulations
Yeah like others have said, when brought to a PPF shop they meticulously look over a car to prep it for PPF so there is no way they didn’t realize it was there. I think the more likely scenario is that it wasn’t there to start, they PPFd it and then something hit it. Is the PPF cut through as...
If you have a 3rd cat delete and milltek, the shipper charger wine increase is pretty minimal tbh. I remember when I got an intake for my Evora GT and the sound got dramatically better but oh well. I guess you can’t really got good exhaust sound + super charger wine. Needs to be one or another
Say it ain’t so! I had this issue on my Evora GT where the carpets would get damp. Lotus had to replace the window cheater seal to try to remedy the issue.
I can’t fathom how it could be the ECU getting drenched and throwing the car into limp mode. I have over 6500 miles and have wash the car 20+ times and have driven in rain and no issues. The water diverter plastic was installed by my dealer about 1k miles ago.
I think the Emira seats are easily the weakest part of the Emira. The seats I just flat and blah. I get why they did it, but if they are trying to sell a sports car, the seats should have definitely been more bolstered.
Lotus is going to announce the new Emira S with 475 HP, 452 ft/tq, manual transmission, carbon bucket seats & ceramic brakes weighing in at only 2900 lbs for $99k.
Just kidding I’m sure it’s another ridiculous electric eletre variant
Question for those who have done their oil change on their Emira. The bigger 10mm bolts tighten up nice and tight, but I’ve noticed that none of the 7mm ones do. You guys experience this? It’ll get somewhat tight but not like 10mm ones do. I’m sure it’s more than adequate but wanted to see if...
Agreed the pour hot water over it to see if it heals it. If not, the ppf did it job. Everytime you go out for a drive you might get another nick so it’ll become VERY costly to keep replacing the ppf. After the first one it’ll get easier to live with and then after several nicks you can replace...
Has anyone had first hand experience with the GRP titanium exhaust? Curious on the sound it makes, especially with the decay and the controller installed. Videos unfortunately don’t do it justice
I have had many cars with PPF on the headlights and after years I still can’t even tell the PPF is there! Good investment especially since some headlights can be $$
Man, the price can’t be higher than it already is! I think people were all in at 95k and thought it was a good deal. Then 105k came around and ppl started to scratch their head. Now if they end of being 115k or so I really don’t think they’ll sell. Especially given the screw ups and issues that...
I considered that too but especially on a high end vehicle like the lotus…it’s probably worth the piece of mind. imagine hitting into a wall and it’s like 30k in damage (which is likely since lotus body panels are $$$). I’d much rather pay 10% than to fork over 30k or even more. Imagine...
Hmm it’s a good question I need to double check the next time I’m in the car. But, to my recollection that message comes on the moment you open the door after the car has for a while.
My method is I always get into the car, give it several seconds for the infotainment to do its thing and then...
The cars that won’t start apparently do not connect to some sort of network (i don’t know what type, but when you turn on the car it will display on the infotainment screen “connected to XXX”). Another poster made a video and found that when it connects to this network, the car will just like...
So lotus being a bad company definitely does not surprise me LOL but if the company goes under (and is not bought by another company), what happens to our manufacturer warranty? Parts availability? (Eg body panels etc, not the Toyota parts)
Never bled my own brakes before but been watching around YouTube and looks to be pretty easy with the help of a motiv brake bleeder. If I decide to go to a track day I may just try to flush the OEM fluid and replace with motul or SRF. Anyone bleed their own brakes on their Emira? I know the...
I think you should try the easiest route first and that’s having the battery tested by a local auto parts store. If it’s that, that’s an easy fix. You can spend $200 on a new battery and go on. On the other hand, it’s a new car if you’re OK with leaving it with the dealer for a little, let them...
So interest enough I found the dot4 that lotus uses per the manual (pentosin super dot4). Looks like it’s about standard fluid for daily/autocross but looks like a few members have been able to use it on track without upgrading the fluid.
