Creaky front suspension which was fixed by adding some rubber cups. One CEL when the battery mysteriously went flat but all good since then.

Mine was solved by the dealer adding some "rubber cups" to the front suspension struts. Apparently there is a Lotus advisory to apply this fix for any reports of creaking from the from suspension.

I agree with the comments above.. I test drove the V6 and my i4 feels more urgent despite being down on bhp. It also feels faster than the 400bhp NA V8 I had in my previous M3. Both the V6 and the V8 were very linear which a lot of people like for predictability. It's all about the torque...

No, I'm not a fan, personally. I've not really seen any after market mods that I thought genuinely improved the looks. It's a testimony to Lotus that they nailed it right out of the blocks.

Some good news here finally. My renewal is down from nearly £1,000 this year to £750 next year. However, I am getting £508 from Santander on Meerkats which is far more plateable and nearly £200 less than the RS3.

I don't recall seeing either of these issues with the early UK i4 deliveries so these seem to be "new" things they've somehow introduced into later builds. I wonder if there's any differences in the US models that could be at play?

I agree, I’ve had my i4 for almost a year now and this has never happened. It sounds like it could be dangerous if it happened in traffic or mid corner. The only thing I can liken it to is my E90 M3 in Sport+ where the throttle was insanely sensitive - kind of off/on. But I’ve not experienced...

The shift from D - N - R is night and day different so you would 100% feel the improvement assuming you had the original issue (early order). I don't think you can see versions on the screens anywhere. Perhaps with an OBD2 reader?

We should all just be grateful that Lotus gave us a choice of great powertrains :)

PS4s or PS5s would be at the top of my shopping list. They had amazing grip on my M3 previously. They offer a really good balance between summer and winter useability too. It would interesting to know what made Lotus select the Goodyears.

That's reflected in the responsiveness. There's virtually no turbo lag. It's noticeably more immediate than my RS3, which is no slouch!

Good shout. I am amazed at the MPGs I get on a long run. Easily pushing 40mpg+. You can comfortably cruise at around 70mph and 1,500rpm in 8th. I never even considered this when choosing but it's a nice bonus.

I was fortunate enough to qualify for the free service plan offer they made for early orders. However, I did pay for a running in service outside of the plan and Bell & Colvill charged me the same price as the V6 which was about £430.

FFS. Almost my exact spec of i4 with minimal mileage and £18K less. My "I don't care, it's a keeper" philosophy is being severely tested now.

Agreed. That spec was more towards a stage 2 in old money. That's quite a significant set of mods over stock. A piggyback is never going to be as effective as a proper remap but there's always a significant overhead built into turbo cars to ensure they make the advertised power in all possible...

Mine is getting the latest i4 software updates and being able to maneuver the car for parking without looking like I just passed my test.
