Base Model i4 - Spec, production, delivery and price

    * * * * * The order books for the Lexus LX are temporarily closed, now that the demand appears to exceed the number of available cars. The waiting list had grown to no less than four years. Apparently Lexus thought a delivery time of three years was acceptable. The manufacturer also...

    Heat dissipation from engine bay

    * * * * * The 2.0-liter turbo-4 is the replacement for the 381-hp engine found underhood the CLA45, GLA45. The new engine, which comes in two tunes including a 382-hp base version and a 416-hp S version, uses a more efficient turbocharger and upgraded cooling to improve performance and could...

Any idea which version is lightest weight ?

***** Indeed the Evora GT 410 Sport IPS has a kerb weight of 139 kg less compared to the Emira V6 (manual?)....... That's almost 2 adults.......

What other “raw” cars have you owned ?

    * * * * * Thank you for your compliment..... The Esprit has no power steering.......ough..... but when the Turbo came in it was fantastic.....only 2,2 ltr 4 cyl. and 264 bhp / 280 peak bhp for 30 sec.......but 0-100kmh in 5,0 sec. was terrific in the 90's.......faster than the Ferrari Testarossa...

    * * * * * What's under the Emira's hood? The Emira's hood is a glass cover behind the cockpit, leaving the engine beautifully exposed to view. Well.....I only see some large black plastic panel covering an engine.... That could have been designed / created better imo.

    Emira (wide)shut line Discussion

    * * * * * From the SELOC forums: yesterday 29-5-2022 at 09:13 - from what i heard , dash panels that need to come out of China are failing and as a result many unfinished cars were left in the factory. Because the area where these panels come from is in lockdown, the cars won't become...

    Emira Wheel Gap Discussion

    * * * * * Comparing the Emira with the series 1 Evora is not entirely correct imo. Your Emira picture has been previously posted, compared with an EVORA GT 410 Sport. (see pictures) In that comparison the flaws of the Evora are fare more less as described in your post. Indeed the Emira has an...

***** Some time ago I saw a full video with Harry at the Lotus HQ to configure his own Emira. Harry furthermore was to see as a passenger during a test drive with an Emira V6 manual on the testtrack of Lotus. During that Emira testdrive (pre production car) he seemed rather reserved during the...

Evora, or Emira, which is the better looking car

    * * * * * REF: "................The Emira isn't anywhere near 200kg heavier than the Evora, but actually lighter in base form. Evora GT: 1408kg Emira: 1405kg If you're comparing base 2010 Evora with 2023 Emira than it's still only 21kg heavier. Also semantics, but F-15 and F-22 are 33 years...

    Acceleration times

    * * * * * Personally I less believe that it's just laziness on the part of the Lotus website. This acceleration aspect is among others a too important figure for most Lotus (potential)owners and also for the Emira's performance sheet.. I more believe that they could expect the acceleration for...
