Formal complaint regarding wiper issue being filed

I am not sure what you are asking me. I have seen all three modes doing what they are supposed to do.

Formal complaint regarding wiper issue being filed

I was running in intermittent/rain sensing mode as it was very mild rain, I switched up to the next setting, wipers on, and then after a bit switched up to the fastest setting/highest switch position. I had to watch for a bit as the difference between normal and fast is not seismic but there is...

    Lotus Emira Key?

I keep my sensitivity set at about the half way point. Apple car play in my car does the same as you described. Doesn’t seem to cause an issue for the tracker. Have you sat in the car and phoned Scorpion so they can see what’s going on at their end? Also, have you tried putting the tags in a...

I had the “track pack”. PPF with ceramic across the rest of the car. Lotus HQ manage the transaction and it’s delivered by Detailyoureyecandy in Snetterton who are the XPEL agents in the area. I was pleased. Pictures in my Journal thread 'The Full Magma'...

There is a difference between ambient lighting and courtesy lighting. I think the strip across the dash on the passenger side comes under courtesy lighting not ambient. The manual does lack a bit of clarity in this!

    Suspension: Touring and Sports options

I have driven both and there is a discernible difference that can be felt within a very short distance. Cant say I noticed much difference on turn in, that didn’t shout out to me as a difference. I thought there was clearly a difference in the stiffness. The sport was a bit more ”jittery“...

    Fitting a battery conditioner... Do's and Don'ts

Don’t know much about the Nocos but the CTEK will charge at 14.7 volts. Even if I connect to a fully charged battery it will still go through its analysis cycle. These smart chargers look after themselves generally so I would leave it connected for a bit and see what happens. Assumes you have...

    Lotus Emira Key?

Well each to their own I suppose and if you don’t use the phone tracker than clipping the tag to the key is a convenience. I have been using the phone as the tag since I got the car and can’t say I have noticed a drain on the phone. The scorpion manual is out of date and doesn’t really cover...

Ah, my Range Rover had something like that but you could choose whatever speed you wanted it to go off, or turn it off completely. Interesting that it’s mandatory in Dubai.

    Lotus Emira Key?

Yes you can use your phone as the tracker tag. My tags live permanently in the house now. If you do use the tracker tags you aren’t supposed to tie them to your key for obvious reasons. I used the string lanyard to secure the key to the small case I keep it in. Photos in my journal thread...

Went to connect up the CTEK into the boot earlier today and discovered something new. Car was locked in the garage and a single quick press on the boot (rear trunk) button brings on the interior lights, the front and rear running lights and unlocks the fuel filler cap. Doesn’t unlock the car...

    Privacy glass

I think I have posted these before on here but perhaps not. Attached are three photos of the hatch on the same car with tinted glass on the stand at Goodwood. It was so show that depending on the angle you view the tinted hatch from you can see different amounts through it. Obviously ambient...

My doors are appropriately flared at the bottom. It’s a period thing. When I see one with perfect doors I know it’s had plastic surgery! I have a full set of original wheels but was worried about the thickness of the steel (originals were made of thin steel apparently) and I heard of wheels...

As well as CVs I changed the springs and added Spax adjustable shocks (the ones with the droop limits) and am still playing with the settings on those. I wouldn’t say it’s lost any of the lotusness in the handling. I had read that the drive could be slightly harsher as you don’t have the wind...

Nice. The photo of the chassis before took me back to when I first got mine. The rear uprights were so bad the seatbelt mount literally pulled off the top with a good yank! Did you replace the chassis or salvage it? Looks like you have opted to keep the rear donuts. I finally gave in last...

    Manual opening of boot( trunk)

You can see the bump stops in the image from the service manual. Between them and the seal it will give a certain springiness to closing the hatch. Some have commented that they need to lean on these points to close the hatch properly but either that or the drop from a bit of a height works...

    Manual opening of boot( trunk)

You may find it sorts itself out as the seals compress. On the Evora you could wind the bump stops in and out slightly and adjust them yourself or a 5 min job for the dealer. The Emira bump stops are fitted to the underside of the hatch and I should imagine they work in a similar way. It...

    Manual opening of boot( trunk)

One other thing to try. This is an old Evora trick. It was possible for the boot seal and two boot supporting posts to be pushing up with slightly too much force that the latch was “held” by the striker pin and when you pressed the button the latch was not able to release. (Not sure I have...

    Manual opening of boot( trunk)

If you do need to get to the emergency release cable, it’s worth using a torch to look in there and make sure you locate the loop in the picture. It’s relatively high up in the cavity once you remove the cover panel and below it are a bunch of electrical cables. It’s conceivable to grab the...

    Suspension: Touring and Sports options

Yes I am very happy with my choice of Touring. I drove both suspension set ups when test drives were available to compare the two. I am no suspension expert but I currently have three other Lotus, have owned others and I built and tracked a Caterham, which was pretty stiff for a road car. So...
