Narrow Single Garage parking aids/sensors or recommendations

Can you reverse in? I have lights on the back wall of the garage. I use the wing mirror to align the car with the back corner of the garage and slowly reverse in, dropping the near side mirror a little in steps as I come in so I can see the rear arch and how close to the wall. When the mirror...

Lotus Emira Key Fob cases - initial run

Hi @Bancho, nice job on the key fobs. Do you have the dimensions for the Eletra one? Reason for asking is that I have the Lotus tracker fob to carry as well as the Emira key and was wondering if it would fit in the Eletra fob cover?

    Privacy glass “double negative” option

This is a Nimbus with privacy glass. Depending on the angle you look at the engine the glass can look darker but you can definitely see it.

    Privacy glass “double negative” option

I have privacy glass and can see the engine fine through the glass. That video is a bit misleading as it depends on the angle you are looking through the glass.

    Simply Lotus

Club Lotus tends to be for 70s and earlier, and is a bit more “old skool“. LDC seems to focus more on drive outs and for more modern Lotus. Check out their web sites.

Am I the unluckiest Emira owner?

You don’t have all brake disc (rotors) having to be replaced or needing to have a rear light cluster replaced.

    More details for KEF Audio

Does the Emira have a front / back fader? I thought it only had a side to side balance control.

    Stock Emira Wheels and Tires

Three eared like this. In the US at some point the ears were not allowed for safety reasons and Elans were shipped without the ears, just big ol’ nuts requiring a big spanner. I think they were referred to as Nader nuts.

Three yellow dots visible in boot glass reflection

Just hold down the play/pause button for 5 seconds and the screen turns off (apart from a faint Emira logo).

Three yellow dots visible in boot glass reflection

I used a tiny square piece of black electrical tape to cover over 50% of the light. Seemed about right to me. At night I turn the main screen off and the dash screen down to minimum on the dimmer. My Elan just has a switch to turn off all the dashboard illumination - much simpler!

Lotus App - is it worth it

Over time the gps tracker miles and the indicated road miles will drift apart. It’s a 2d / 3d thing. This enables you to synchronize them if you can be bothered.

Three yellow dots visible in boot glass reflection

Back to the OP question. Having been driving around a bit in the dark, you can see the green light of the auto interior light button reflected in the rear view mirror as it reflects off the glass. I still think that’s a bit of a bright light but haven’t got around to masking it down to 30%...

Yep, thats from the May 23 version. And I quote… “For the first 1000 miles, only use moderate throttle openings (about half of the available accelerator pedal travel) and do not run the engine continuously at engine speeds over 4,000 rpm. – For the first 1000 miles, use only ‘Tour’ drive mode...
