I was told that the car needs to "boot" before starting -- specifically the instruction was to wait for the car silhouette to finish in the center screen before starting. I have not experienced any starting issues since doing this.

my dealer told me always to wait for the center screen to load -- as in after the graphic of the car's profile animates and then goes away. I haven't had the issue since.

First change at 1,500 for me. Lotus of DC and it was under $300 for those watching. Seemed reasonable to me and they were excellent.

Did mine around 1,400. Dealer had no issue at all doing it, and said the GM did the same with his. $300.

I do the thumb thing too. I've also actually hit the "cage" over the button right after a shift. So at least in theory covering the button since it's there makes a little bit of sense. Maybe.
