No bumper covers. Hilariously there was a cat licking himself on the rear decklid when I showed up. Imagine if they were at the port and instead it was seagulls shitting on them for 2 months haha. I have a few more quick photos I’ll post when I get back home. This car looks so much better in...

I just moved back to Jacksonville. If these are at World Imports, I'll try to go do some recon of the rear bumpers later today or first thing tomorrow morning. This is the most exciting development in years on this forum :ROFLMAO:

    GRP Emira Wheel Group Buy

I love a bronze wheel but not sure it would go well with Nimbus Grey, so I'll selfishly vote T-S5 in Satin Titanium or Hybrid Dark. I'd probably pull the trigger on a set if they come in at $3k or less for a group buy.

Battery health can be remedied easily with a charger, or one step further with a new battery altogether. I'll be swapping the poor quality OEM one for Li-Ion as soon as it's in my garage. More power, higher capacity, and 30lbs weight savings in the rear.

Are they saying that some cars will be staying at the port for 2 months while others will be shipped off depending on which state they're being sold in? Seems like unnecessarily confusing logistics when no cars can be sold until CARB passes anyways...

That's absurd. I got my current vehicle (bigger than an Emira) fully XPEL wrapped for under $5k just a few years ago. I'll likely skip PPF if that's what installers are trying to charge now. That's probably $500+/hr for labor. Cheaper to just get a respray at that point.

They refunded your "non-refundable" deposits? I'm with Bellevue and have $15k locked-in with them between my two deposits. I don't plan to cancel this close to the end, but would be interesting and cool of them to actually have the integrity to allow you to dip out without penalty.

I'm out - the cancellations thread

I assume these 500 initial cars will all be FE 1.0's? Or does nobody know yet? Very relieved they're finally shipping the cars they were supposed to 18 months ago, but if my FE 2.0 isn't ready for delivery by April 2024 it becomes considerably more difficult for me to take delivery due to job...

If that were true then why are they all reporting different information? 11 cars, 49 cars, shipped, not shipped, the list goes on. This is all just a game of telephone going around in circles. The fact that dealers never say where they get their information should be telling that it's probably...

+1 for Mclaren Artura's. That's what immediately came to mind when I saw that body shape. R8's are built in Germany so unlikely it's something non-british unless they were just offloaded for delivery in the UK (also unlikely).

Lotus Emeya - EV hyper-GT coming soon

I've been daily driving and occasionally tracking an EV for 5 years and it's been great. The only reason I put up with the Lotus shitshow (for lack of a better term) is the opportunity to have a modern yet still somewhat "analog" sports car to complement the EV experience. If and when I get...

    Lotus Emira Financing/Lease Rates

Credit unions will almost always have much better rates than big banks. My last car I got 1.49% for 60 months. I invested what I had planned to use as a down payment and it ended up paying for the car and then some. Mostly luck, but I would've taken an 84 month loan at that rate if it was...

    Does it rev match?

Enthusiasts love to look down their nose at rev-matching, but as long you have the ability to toggle it on/off I see no negative to having the feature. For me heel-toe is more fun on the street, but I usually prefer rev matching on the track because it's perfect every time and allows me to focus...

Interior Option You Want Lotus to Offer

-Carbon buckets with better bolstering and some leather/alcantara (think GT3RS) -Dry carbon door sills instead of cheap carpet -Alcantara or similar matte dash to stop the windscreen reflections -TDC marker on steering wheel -A better center display that isn't thick, plastic, or have HUGE...

Bellevue is apparently the #2 Lotus dealer in the US by volume after Naples, FL. Ironically, by the time my car arrives I'll be living in FL and will likely fly back to Seattle for delivery. I was told they've been allocated 33 I4's, 50 FE1.0 and 30 FE2.0. My initial deposit was $5k and the...

Emailed my dealer rep at 8pm tonight just out of curiosity. Amazingly he responded within an hour saying they've received 33 4 cylinder allocations and 32 additional V6's (on top of their original 45) and that I would be part of these allocations. Making the "FE 2.0" cut is the first piece of...

Seems they're pushing really hard for I4's, possibly to the point of more I4 allocations than orders at some dealers which is disappointing. Maybe the margins are better on those or the manufacturing is easier? The whole reason I'm interested in the Emira is for the manual transmission...

Why do so many here not drive their cars in the winter? Always found that very strange. I'd hate spending six figures on a hobby just to enjoy it a few months out of the year. What a waste! In my experience, the delayed gratification of being forced to wait for something you want is almost...

    Canadian Allocations

I spent yesterday and most of today in Vancouver, and while there are a silly amount of young, wealthy people with high end cars, I agree it's barely a fraction of cities like LA, Miami, or presumably Toronto, etc. Per capita it may very well be number 1 in Canada or even North America, but...

I sadly agree. The main reason I want an Emira is it's one of the few remaining sports cars still in production that value the old school analog driving experience without paying huge $$$ (manual, small/lightweight, non-turbo, no ADAS yet, etc.) I've only found 2 comparable options in the US, a...

Agreed on all points. I put a small 16Ah lithium battery in my dual duty daily driver/track toy for a few years and it worked great. Cost $415 and only weighed 5lbs! It appears to use an H6/Group-48 size battery. I plan to upgrade to a Li-ion 12V to save 30+lbs from the rear and provide way more cold-cranking amps. I'll likely still keep it on a tender for when it's parked longer than a week without use just to be safe.

I disagree that it "happens all the time". I just replaced a PPFed section on my daily driver with over 50k miles and 4 years in the FL sun and it peeled off like it was new. The 13 Emira Colors

I was most excited for white since that was my planned spec, but slightly disappointed to see it's not really a true white but more of an egg or cream color with a yellowing to it in the configurator that makes it look old. That is unappealing to me since I think the whole point of white is to...
