Misha taking the Komotec car around the ring. Not a "review" of the car so much as reaction to this komotec upgraded car vs. the touring car that Misha originally drove and thought was too soft for the Nordschleife. Also hampered by dampness but still a good watch.

Cosmos black with full black pack? With Gloss black wheels? With Black Calipers? Batman?

Looks great on Exige. Edit: oh you mean the black pack.

I’ve run with groups in SoCal canyons and they go wild. I personally hang back and keep the speed for the track. That’s why I love these cars to begin with, you can have fun at lower speed. The roads he’s running are pretty well known for this sort of thing. There’s a bit of a culture around...

    Limited alignment adjustments

Adjustable arms are a common mod on Elige. I imagine it's just a matter of time before the aftermarket has a reasonable solution.

Worth noting this seems to be for UK only. I'm in the US but received it.

    Lotus Boss Quits

I disagree with the handwriting on the wall. By my last count, more than 45 countries and 17 U.S. states still have restrictions or outright bans on the sale of new gasoline vehicles by 2035. EV growth has slowed, but still outpaces gasoline cars. This varies heavily by market. The moment...

    First Emira has hit BaT

Two things about that listing. You picked an Evora that is... not the prettiest. I don't know what's going on with that graphics package and color scheme. Also Cars & Bids is not the market maker that BaT is. There doesn't seem to be a market for Evoras on Cars & Bids, they've always done poorly...

I just stopped by as well and was delighted to find my full exterior spec. It’s the first I’ve seen this combo in the flesh and I’m very happy with my choices. Looks like I’ll have a twin in the area.

    Lotus Driving Experience

I have track experience in an Elise, Exige, A110, 911 991 GTS, ND MX-5, Model 3 Performance and Radical. So not my first rodeo and I’ve experienced a wide range of chassis dynamics. The Emira’s limits are ridiculously high. If you’ve only been on track once before, you won’t get near them. It’s...

Given that you have a one on one relationship with the same instructor through the day, there is plenty of opportunity to raise these sorts of requests. They might pay attention and give you feedback or notice things that you are not necessarily aware of, and change your focus. The hard part...

I did the advanced tailored. It wasn't tailored quite the way I expected. There are four 20-minute sessions, 2 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon with lunch in-between. I think we had 6 participants on my day, with 2 instructors. There were 4 cars, some are touring and some are sport. All...

    GT4 Emira for 2024 BGT & EGT

Not for street, it's a full race car underneath. Aside from the fuel filler window there are only 3 parts that separate any street Emira from this one visually - the wing, splitter, and vented bonnet panel (and wheels / tires). Jubu Performance sells all 3.

Also keep in mind that if you’re going to be swooping in and out for this, 8am will be 3am for you biologically. Daylight and adrenaline will be on your side, but you’ll be exploring the limits of the car, likely in RHD, on an unfamiliar track on 0 sleep :) Your own personal 24 hours of Le...

I thought the factory tour was cool. You really get to see how these cars are put together, and by who. The whole process takes place in like 3 rooms, which makes it feel very small, and you meet some lovely people. It really makes Lotus feel bespoke, friendly and accessible. On several...

You're just heading over for the academy and then leaving? Personally I rented a car at Heathrow. After trains and cabs, it's probably not much of a difference. Hertz has Model 3's with free charging, which is what I did at the time. Lotus is in a pretty sparse area, and you'll be a bit lagged...

Agreed, I was also impressed with it for all of the same reasons. My one gripe is it doesn’t have one pedal drive. I genuinely believe Porsche is wrong about this, and I just think Lotus is following Porsche’s lead. Porsche seems to think their buyer’s don’t want one pedal drive, but I think...

These listings just sound like a database thing. Dealers add all inventory to their system and that auto-populates the engines. From the dealer's perspective it doesn't hurt to get inbounds on an unavailable car, they can convert that person to an order.

Base model will not have: - KEF audio - Driver’s pack - Heated seats - Alcantara headliner - See-through shifter console - sport pedals - Sport seats Presumably no-cost options like colored calipers and wheels will be price tiered as well.

Interesting that my PPF letter was phrased like “since we’re going to have the car for a while anyway, here are some protection options we can do”. Seems like maybe this decision to store them at Lotus happened after that communication. Fine with me, I’d rather mine be indoors.
