    Storage space

I’ve posted this before but it shows what you can do if you can’t stretch to fancy Lotus-branded bags and you’re prepared to slum it with some Samsonite wally-trollies.

    Scorpion Tracker

You get a call from Scorpion to check if it’s you driving the car without the fob. The car doesn’t tell you. That would defeat the object of the fob. If a thief takes the car by relay theft you’re the one who needs to know, not them. Which Porsche tells you? Mine doesn’t.

    Electric seat memory and operation

Yes. Common on electric memory seats on many cars. If the button is pressed while the door is open the seat moves automatically (and continues to move after the door is closed). If you close the door first you have to hold the button. There is some safety reason which I can’t remember. Edit...

Again, Waze is the answer. Give it a try, it doesn’t have lots of recommendations for no reason.

    Pretty much none.

How to set wipers to service position?

You don’t need to. They lift up just fine in the parked position. According to the service manual, to remove the wiper motor it needs to be in the service position, so maybe it’s a option for the dealer?

    Emira Quirks

The bottom rear corner of the door is rounded so there’s a bit of a gap for stuff to get sucked up. There’s a little piece of factory ppf there so they knew it was an issue. It’s only water getting sucked up. It’s not like stones can impact there so I wouldn’t worry about it.

    Emira Review Index [V6 FE]

Dampers have identifying stickers as per previous Lotus practice. This is my sport front damper. V6SF deciphers as V6 Sport Front. Tour equivalent will be V6TF. Rears are side-specific. V6SRL and V6SRR.

Ride Height..... hence wheel gap....official answer

Like this? From my Evora when I fitted the BOE lowering cups. My sport option Emira has the front on the middle groove. Rear is hard to tell as the spring obscures the cup but I think it’s on the top groove.

It’s on a label under a flap in the carpet behind the drivers seat. All the option codes are there too. Seneca Blue is M501.

Finally driven mine in the rain today and it has the same speed issue. Car was delivered early February. I’ll settle down to await the fix like everyone else.

How do UK plates get assigned?

Well, in non-Lotus situations it would be where the car is sold. eg: a new car bought from a dealership in London would start with an L. But, because Lotus have centralised their system, every Emira will start with an A (Angila region) followed by any of O/P/R/S/T/U. (Norwich area). Eg: my car...

How do UK plates get assigned?

Yep. That’s about as clear as I thought it was! Our system is supposed to help to remember/recognise the registration as there is at least a region and a year to aid familiarity. Just to add we can have personal plates that are usually old (pre-1963) registrations from scrapped cars or...

How do UK plates get assigned?

A for “Anglia” where Lotus is located. U is in a subset for the Norwich area. 23 is the year. XYZ are random characters issued in sequence. The registration is issued to the car, not the person...

Anyone know the closest non-Lotus car color to Nimbus Grey?

It’s just boring old silvery grey. Paint it in primer and it’ll be close enough. 😁

    What is your Emira's purpose?

As some of us unfortunately know, that became irrelevant long before you moved queue. Where do you have this deposit Tom? Nothing about any “GT” is official so I assume there’s no queue to join at Lotus.

That is the Ackerman effect isn’t it. Tyres skipping feels like the suspension is clunking.

    Emira Titanium exhaust interest...

Emira weight distribution is 560kg F/920kg R. 38%F/62%R. For comparison an Evora 400 silencer is 17kg (I weighed mine). So even if a Ti silencer is half the weight it’s not going to make a huge difference. About 0.35%. But every little helps, as someone once said.

Building momentum in (very) positive review

If they are identical how do you account for the fact that the Evora/Emira has rear seats/ storage space, for example. The Exige V6 has an identical chassis to the Elise/Exige S2. I have owned all three. The Evora/Emira is completely different. I have owned both. The only thing in common is...

    Lotus Emira Key?

I think you have to open the door to actually “wake” the car. The screens certainly don’t come on until the door is opened.

    Milltek Exhaust

As I said, I’m talking about nose to tail, the whole enchilada. For comparison they do a system for my other car, a Porker Macan GTS. Mid pipes and two silencers. £7k. That’s informing my guess. Quality, but proper quality ain’t cheap.

    Milltek Exhaust

I’m not saying it’s worth 10k but have you seen an Akrapovic? Beautiful workmanship. And fully titanium. No cheap heavy steel. My guesstimate is for a full system, nose to tail. Would I pay £10k for one? No. But if it was £5-6k? I’d be tempted…
