I’ve run mine to near zero several times. Guessing you’ve got a sticking fuel level sensor? And I don’t get how it‘s retarded to show distance to empty? If it was gallons/litres you would have to know your mpg and work out in your head the range you’ve got left. 🤷‍♂️

I tried unsuccessfully to pop mine off by pushing downwards. It was getting to the point where I was putting on slightly more pressure than felt safe and it didn’t move, so I gave up.

Idle in Track is about 250rpm higher than in Sport so the sound changes because of that at least.

The whole system seems a bit flakey for some people. Contrary to my previous posts in this thread, I’m still only getting an automatic wireless CarPlay connection some of the time. Other times I need to go into the car’s menu and tell it to connect to my phone. 🤷‍♂️

In case you missed it, there’s a channel to route a cable from that outlet to the phone tray in front of the gearlever.

Don’t you have the phone-tag option for the tracker in Oz? Works completely seamlessly for me. No need to worry about where to put the physical tag and you’re also partially defeating the object of the tag if you attach it to the key.

You can turn off the “auto apply when switching off“ function in the menu.

Yep. We can confirm that’s wrong. In many ways. Different spring rates, damper rates and geo settings between touring and sport. You can have the touring tyre (Goodyear) on the sport setup but it’s still the sport setup. You can’t spec the sports tyre (Michelin) on the touring suspension...

Yes. It brings up sub menus when they’re available.

Not quite. Go up/down to select widget, eg: media. Then ”list” to get into sub-menu, eg: radio/carplay/usb.

You have to press the “list” button (on the left, between the volume up/down buttons) to get the radio/carplay/usb/etc options to appear. Then scroll up/down and press the centre to select. The handbook is a bit misleading, as it is with quite a few things!

The whole system seems a bit buggy. My CarPlay only connects intermittently. I regularly have to go into the system menu and tell it to connect. And the FM tuner doesn’t search properly when searching for stations. But then the next day everything could be fine. 🤷‍♂️

That just rubs it in a bit harder for all us manual people who couldn’t have one. 😡

No, it’s pretty conventional. Unlike the Evora for example, which had external A-pillar trims that were notoriously awkward to fit properly. As I said, the Autoglass guys had done a good job of fitting the glass. It was a silly problem with the aerial that cocked it up.

It’s a possibility. Or maybe they forgot to connect it. FYI, the DAB aerial is in the RHS of the screen. You can see the two dipole wires going up and down at the side. Here’s a pic of the FM connector, on the LHS. Didn’t focus on the relevant bit but you can see the ribbon cable coming off...

From memory, the inside of the bumper isn’t particularly accessible. There’s a cross member of the subframe in the way at least. I’ll try to remember to get a pic for you next time I’m in there.

I’m using Autoglass through my insurance. There’s no aftermarket alternatives yet (unsurprisingly) so they (eventually) ordered an OEM one from Lotus. They fitted it very well. Until they broke the DAB aerial connector. Hence #3. The glass is £2k a pop. Expensive little connector (for them).

Yup. Cracked by a stone. But it’s turning into a big adventure. Screen #3 will be fitted soon, hopefully. I’ll file a report when the story concludes.

Just tried mine. On CarPlay it only works with Apple Maps, not Waze or Google Maps.

I’ve posted this before but it shows what you can do if you can’t stretch to fancy Lotus-branded bags and you’re prepared to slum it with some Samsonite wally-trollies.
