Emira Issues - from final production cars

I always thought this was a bit of a red herring being as the handbrake drum was enclosed in the rear disc and out of the wet. Emira style mini caliper might be more of a worry.

Yep. Had the bang and lurch quite a few times. (In previous Exige/Evora) Never had actual pad damage or seizure though.

Emira Issues - from final production cars

It’s a not-uncommon occurrence on these type of Exige/Evora brakes, usually caused by leaving wet pads/discs to rust together. Then when the car is moved a piece of pad gets torn off as it’s stuck to the disc. The fix apparently is to clean up the disc (presumably if it’s not too bad) and fit...

After noticing @Sid ‘s brake issue I thought I’d have a proper look at mine and… Nowhere near as bad but it’s another one not noticed at PDI. B&C will be sorting it tomorrow.

Similar here. Exige 350 for 2.5 years then Evora 400 for 3.5 years. Neither of them used a drop.

    Wiper speed issue

There is no button on mine but the stalk definitely does “click” forwards. Non-latching. In the same way as the main/dip light stalk on the other side. The picture in the handbook suggests to me that that’s how it’s supposed to work. No rain yet so haven’t tested in anger.

30cm left with the two 40cm cases in. And the seat needs to be further forward/upright but still ok at my (6ft tall) driving position.

One of the little covers you have to pry off to get at the panel fixing screws. You can just see another one top left. They’re captive, with a little plastic lanyard.

There’s something wrong with your brake pads. They’re only sweeping about half the disk.

I’ll have a go tomorrow in daylight for you. Might struggle with the dog bit though. I don’t think 3 will fit. It’s about 110cm wide. So 2x 45cm leaves 20cm. edit: Just measured those cases and they’re actually 53x40x23. Still won’t fit 3 in.

Tried on some luggage. 2, “easyJet spec”, full size carry-on cases. 53x40x23cm. Perfect fit. Seat slightly forward of fully back. 10kg each, of course.😉 Room for some soft bags on top, and that’s without even starting in the boot. Which will take one case and plenty of soft bags. It’s a van.

Lotus App Issues with Scorpion Tracker

Feeding cable from USB socket to trinket tray

You need to take the mat out to feed the cable through easily. There’s a little slot in the rubber with a larger hole through the console itself. It folds up and pulls out no problem.

And you can change the main speedometer to km/h. Just change the units in the settings. This is so obvious it must be a new firmware thing as I’m sure people said they tried this before. And the tyre pressures can be in PSI, which suits me better. Hadn’t seen that in any pictures before.
