They should really implement auto rev matching (and NLS would be cool as well). They could just create a menu point on the infotainment screen where you can switch it on and off via the touchscreen. The Lotus guys „only“ have to code it, there is no extra hardware or a button or whatever...

Really great news! I hope it will sound as good as in all those videos and will be comparable to the Evora also in terms of noise levels :D I think that's really important and would be another usp for the Emira because all the other cars in that range sound completely muffled nowadays.

Correct. It‘s for example also forbidden to polish dull headlamps because polishing them could cause a change in the light beam.

It is definetly not louder if it meets EU regulations (except it was older than 5 years). Edit: the 991.1 is older than 5 years btw, because the year of homologation counts for regulations

The advantage of the Evora is that it only has to meet 2009 regulations...

Maybe it is ok if it doesn't make the car louder? What I know for sure is that flaps open has to be the same decibel than flaps closed.

Those exhaust buttons are not allowed in the EU. I think for cars homologated from 2016 onwards the law says that they are not allowed to open valves manually and that the car is not allowed to get louder with open valves.

You are right, and that all sounds good, but there is one tiny problem: the A45S sounds like crap (not even close to the old W176 A45). If that is going to be expected from the i4 Emira as well, than I won‘t think for a second about getting the fourpot in this kind of car.

I think it's just an issue for that specific case, because there are not many dealerships that are built just now and can take allocations. Most of them are established and sold out. And I also thought that Lotus is checking for people doing multiple allocations, but I'm not sure about that.

I picked Lotus Leipzig, and was paying first deposit in October 🤭 so I‘m quite late to the game but I also have a feeling that Emira is not a big thing here in Germany. There is nearly no German content on YouTube for Example regarding Emira. My dealer also said that 2022 should work for me.

Just open the configurator and wait a little while before doing anything. It works then.

As far as I am informed that is how it works for Germany: We will get 180 Emiras in 2022 for the whole country. I am roughly Number 20 at my dealership which is why they think they should get one for me as well in 2022. That meant to me that they don't know how many cars any specific dealership...
