I'd try a 0-60 tomorrow in my manual Emira. But it overheats so I can't really. Maybe when it's fixed :)

Replacement ECU sorted mine out - our local dealership will be well versed in this now ;)

It's been looked at by an independent garage - it's the front fan that is broken, it doesn't trigger when it should. Just waiting on Lotus replacing it. At least I know the issue, just got to wait now till the Lotus dealership have time to look at it / get the parts etc.

While the Emira is sitting about with it's overheating issue not yet resolved...... feast your eyes on this epic video taken a couple of weeks ago! Easily up there with the best promotional stuff I've seen for the Emira, and it's not even an official lotus creation.

Fan controller unit on the back of the main fan, seems to be the brains of what is / isn't working up front re the cooling. Could be as simple as lose wiring inside it I guess, as it works sometimes.

Hope so too.... Booked in 2nd May, earliest time they had. So I'm glad I at least can provide them a list of what is needed (hopefully they accept the info / engineers report) so can order up parts in advance. Fingers crossed... because track day booked on 4th May.

Not tried my Aircon in the 5 months I've had it. Scotland and all... I'll test tomorrow just to report back.

haha, well, they look after my Porsche so they offered to take a look at the Emira :) Can't turn them down when Lotus dealership are saying nearly a month wait, not their fault, they are rammed busy - obviously if it's determined parts are needed I'll be using the warranty with Lotus HQ and...

hope so, that, or a sensor, or maybe air in the coolant system are the only things I can see when googling! I'll see what the local porsche specialist has to say about it, they told me they can take a quick look this week, beats waiting 3-4 weeks.

So I'm sure I don't have a coolant leak - when cold, the car's coolant level looks to be correct. But it still overheats when idling to dangerous levels the car goes into limp mode. Unsure what it could be, and Lotus can't deal with it for 3-4 weeks, so going to have to take it somewhere else...

2000 miles in with my Ice Grey - and I'd say it can pickup marks from jeans (not mine oddly, but the multiple people I've let sit in it, so must be the kind of colouring of these jeans!?) - a damp cloth removes quickly however.

Just to update on the above. Issues 1 and 3 are resolved with software updates Issue 5 is confirmed as a non issue Issue 4 - parts ordered up so just waiting on arrival to dealer Issue 2 however is still outstanding, Lotus working on a patch, yet to be provided to dealers.

Mine has this on the fronts. I actually raised it with Lotus Glasgow when I dropped it off this morning for it's final snagging list - at first glance no confirmation if it's a design or a fault.

Most other manufacturers have increased prices - so this isn't a F*** you to lotus customers - it's the state of economic factors generally. Your bread is more expensive. Your fuel. Lets stop with the Lotus hate, they held out longer than Porsche for example, and increased prices by less %...

Congrats! The ICE grey leather is epic, but it does need protection, and even then regular cleaning - it marks easy so be careful! I'm 2000 miles into mine now so have definitely learned to keep some wipes in the car :D

Hi @JayEmm :) So a further update... I'd posted earlier that after getting the car back with new ECU, the ESC warning lights were coming on from time to time. Lotus HQ and Glasgow Lotus have said they'll check it out, most likely a software issue, but the car is working fine - so no rush...

UPDATE :) Wow, lots of chat while i've been away haha. I really hope no one has cancelled their orders based on me having my ECU replaced however. So following Friday night's update, where ECU replaced, got car back, randomly throwing up an ECS error that cleared after a battery...
