How bad does the boot/trunk heat get?

Has not been an issue for me, I have used the trunk for super market trips and have ice cream and stuff in the back and did not have any problems. Trunk seems to get as hot as my ‘91 miata. All that said I would not put anything that would melt if I was planning a bunch of hard driving for a...

    Shift Knob Replacement

set screw - like the metal OEM - you do not see it - it faces forward. Set screw is really needed to have it tight and facing the right way - like the OEM. I think it is slightly larger than metal OEM - but only slightly.

    Shift Knob Replacement

That is exactly what I did, it took a couple weeks to deliver to Virginia. Fits Emira perfectly - even has the set screw in the back. I tried to order it from a U.S.A. Lotus dealer on line and they just cancelled the order, I do not think many places have it in stock.

    Shift Knob Replacement

https://parts.lotussilverstone.co.uk/p/104965976/A138V0971J.html I prefer a lighter, because you get more "feel", but it is a personal preference. I would like it a little larger diameter, I guess I have large hands.

    Shift Knob Replacement

Wood Lathe was more expensive than the Lotus A138V0971J Wooden [type 25] knob, so I ordered it from Silverstone. I love it, was exactly what I was looking for. I didn't weigh them, but the wood did feel lighter (guessing a few ounces) then stock OEM metal knob.

    Requesting Help from Members

I am not in California, but my sticker has a black border all the way around it - and looks like it is cut very evenly. Mine is dated January 2024. I would think the VIN matching the car's VIN is the only key item on it - does it match the VIN on the base of the windshield?

    Navigation

I was having issues with the Navigation finding addresses and general operation the first couple weeks I had the car. Way too much hot air with the windows down

I remember watching a video a year or two ago on U-Tube that mentioned how hot air from the hood vents funnels into the car when driving with the windows down at low speeds. If I lived in a hot climate and drove low speeds with the windows down a lot, I would probably choose a car did not vent...

    Shift Knob Replacement

Thanks, I left them matte finished (for now) - I wanted to see how it all looks and feels first. I agree, replacing the piano black trim with walnut would provide a much richer looking interior, especially in a tan interior. I have seen people insert a Lotus logo on top, that Jaguar on his very...

    Shift Knob Replacement

My first attempts, I am sure most people like OEM better. Not my best work, but not too bad for first attempt, I am just looking for something a bit larger that fits in my hand better. The light colored is cypress the rest are walnut, I included a pic of OEM for scale, they are larger - but...

DIY - Oil Change Reference for 2GR-FE

Changed the oil today at 1,124 miles. Used Porter's recommended oil and magnetic drain plug. That oil funnel recommended, works like a charm, it would be really hard without it. Since I have a lift, I also took off the rear diffuser. I was surprised how much sand and dirt where in the two...

    Shift Knob Replacement

Four prototypes made out of walnut. The 2 inch diameter (middle two) felt best to me. A 7/8 inch drill bit for the spring area works fine (about 9/16 deep. I then used a 3/4 inch drill bit about 1/2 inch further and then pressed in a M12x1.5 nut in. I will glue or epoxy the nuts in when I go...
