For what it is worth, I never understood carpet in cars. You do not stand in a car and most people do not drive barefoot. So the benefit of a "soft" surface for your feet are lost. Carpet is hard to clean and wears quickly when compressed and twisted (which is what you do when in a car).

For what it is worth, it looks much easier then opening the frunk of a 911 (996 and 997) with a dead battery. Basically you have to take the front driver side side wheel off, remove the fender inner lining and search for a pull cable. Had to do it on a 997 and 996. Trick was once you do it...

The largest "Universal" rubber floor mats seem to be 1-2 inches narrower than Emira floor mats.

Heather yellow Emira this past Thursday (26 September) on Pacific Coast Hwy southbound in left turning lane onto Topanga Canyon blvd around 5:30pm. All I could think of was that is the perfect road for a Lotus (as I was driving my Mitsubishi rental car:))

Thanks for posting, looks to be 1-2 inches taller the OEM, I would think it would make it a a longer throw. Short shifter kit may work well with it.

For what it's worth - I believe timing is everything in life. Lotus has a way of ignoring it (or missing it), which can be a plus or minus. Wouldn’t you want to release this concept at a major event (Goodwood/major car show) for the buzzz? I appreciate the angle/approach they are working on...
