Who has Milltek's Active Controller Installed?

Yes, I immediately programmed my 2nd and 3rd Homelink buttons to FULL OPEN and OEM settings on the Milltek. I just go into touring mode when I enter my neighborhood and press button 3 and she calms down nicely.

I LOVE the yellow calipers but I dread cleaning them. I did some ceramic on one of mine (ran out of time) and to see how much difference it made. It helps quite a bit in keeping them looking good. I'll have to try that Sticky Citrus stuff because my wheel Meguiar "no scrub" wheel cleaner...

Technically you can do that but I didn't notice any meaningful difference going that route. Once you have the milltek, just leave it full open when you turn it off and your starts are PLENTY loud :) I have to remember to put it back into OEM when I pull into the driveway or I risk waking up my...

    Emira Review Index [V6 FE]

It was only 2 seconds slower than the manual GT4 which was also running Cup2s vs. Goodyear street tires on the Emira. If the Emira was on Cup2s and Sport suspension it very likely would have been a tight race between the two manuals tested. Comparing a manual to a DCT car doesn't make much...

Paint Protection Film (PPF) and Wrap for your Emira

The normal cost from the dealership is $6,000 for the full wrap. They did minimal correction in spots they thought needed it but TBH, my Nimbus looked pretty fantastic from the showroom so I was happy with the result. It seems there isn't much point doing the correction if it's not needed...

Who has Milltek's Active Controller Installed?

I haven't tested the exact response time vs. the controller but the homelink button works within about a second when holding down the button (as if you were opening or closing a garage)

Paint Protection Film (PPF) and Wrap for your Emira

I got my full body PPF done through Lotus Cape Fear. They did 95% PPF and 5% Revivify on some of the smaller black trim pieces where PPF isn't ideal. They used NanoFusion PPF (https://www.diamond-shield.com/nano-fusion-ppf) which isn't as well known in the aftermarket as they focus on OEM...

    Emira Review Index [V6 FE]

Didn't intend to watch this entire video but I really enjoyed his thoughts on the comparison. I couldn't help but feel very similar to him. It's so hard for me to drive my BMW now that I have the Emira and I still love the bimmer....but the Lotus really grabs at those heart strings. Such a...

What did you do to your Emira today?

Entered the Emira into a local invite-only country club car show that I was invited to at a recent Cars and Coffee here in Raleigh. The Emira didn't win best exotic but there was some stiff competition for such a small show (40-50 cars?). The Lambo STO won 1st and McLaren 720s won 2nd. Even...

Do you notice a ticking noise during acceleration?

Mine is very noticeable in anything 3rd and above. It's pretty annoying and takes away from the otherwise glorious sound of the engine and supercharger. I'll probably ask Lotus Cape Fear to adjust it whenever it goes that way for servicing. I asked the GM about it maybe a month or so ago and...

    North American Emira Problem Thread

Just some fun stationary revving at close to redline, nothing crazy. That is what has triggered the CEL every time in the past that I can remember. It's been reported in some YouTube vids and it was just a fuel pump communication thing that seemed benign. This limp mode thing was the first...

    North American Emira Problem Thread

My Issue: Got my first limp mode this evening after about just 10 minutes of spirited driving after warming up the car (maybe 75% throttle, around 6K max RPM or so) so I wasn't going balls to the walls on it. See the pic below for what this looks like. Traction control was disabled and I got...

GRP Emira Decat Pipes Now Available!

When I pull into my neighborhood I just pop it into tour and hit my #3 homelink button on the mirror (programmed to full closed) and boom....super chill and relatively quiet. It's a really nice setup. My neighbors would probably not be too happy with me if I left it full-open coming home in...

GRP Emira Decat Pipes Now Available!

That was one of the things I did notice as well. The whine is significantly reduced simply because the exhaust is so much more pronounced. Overall the sound is just so much better but yeah, I'd love to hear some Eventuri cabin vids once someone has it installed w/ the delete.

Yes, that was made clear to me by Lotus Cape Fear before I put down my original deposit. They said it would be around the $2K range but it wasn't determined until later when it came out to $2,350 if I recall correctly.

What did you do to your Emira today?

Hah! I did this same thing for lots of @Citizen's photos for almost a year waiting for delivery. It was a hard sell trying to convince my friends and family that I lived anywhere near the Burj Khalifa =p

What did you do to your Emira today?

Took her out this past week to get some shots by a young, talented auto photographer in the Raleigh, NC area. Loving the Nimbus! Thanks to Dominic Ross for the time, chat, and expertise! https://www.facebook.com/anton.ross.39

With the delete and valve, the Emira sounds SO good from 5500-6800. Just don't redline 1st gear or you'll feel like you ran into a brick wall with how it shuts down the power.

My 340i with the M Perf exhaust does lots of pops in stock form. I'm not a huge fan, either. I plan to tune them out when I get around to it. They're a bit too "I'm 21 and I got a bimmer!" for me at 38 years old.

Got these today by a photographer while doing an Emira photo shoot. Sorry I didn't get any stationary rev vids, I'll get some of those soon and add. This is with the GRP Decat pipe + Milltek full open. That's it! Use some good headphones.

GRP Emira Decat Pipes Now Available!

Lots of burbles on the overrun. Not really 'pops' though like you hear on BMWs and the like. I think it's perfect with this setup. Apart from maybe the Larini exhaust, I've yet to see any other videos/comparisons that would compel me to do anything further with the exhaust than these two...

What did you do to your Emira today?

I have sport setup. I too have been vacillating on whether or not to lower. I've scraped 3 times now total so I really kind of want to leave it where it is, hence the request for add'l pictures with spacers as they can often seem to lessen the visible wheel gap. Those are nice pics, thanks man!

That looks great. Strongly considering this. Can you get some more side/angle shots? I'd like to see how wheel gap looks with just 12mm spacers.

    OBD II reader/scanner recommendations

I have been getting CELs pop up (twice now) whenever I rev the engine close to redline a few times or just drive it all-out even for a short run. In both cases it has gone away within 24 hours. I haven't yet been able to read the code as I loaned my scanner to a buddy and should have it back...
