Yah the e92m3 system is pretty good. It was the first car I owned where I didn't think it was worth the effort to upgrade it anymore. Here is the order of stereo quality in my mind: emira..........e92m3, Zl1, s550 (burmester), s90 (B&W) There is a big jump between the emira and the M3. :)

Its better than the s2000 from any year IMO. The knob on the s2000 is better.

I totally agree. Its funny how these little things all add up, but each are really important in their own right.. Especially if they are part of a new experience.

Its all perspective! For me, now, this car rocks. If in a month parts start falling off, or the idle hesitates, or it strands me, you can be damn sure my follow up review would have a different tone!

As I understand it, the electrical gremlins are mostly solved by two things: a fully charge battery and the ECU update that was released recently. For the paint bubbling, I believe this was just earlier UK cars with the issue.

I believe I read it had a better approach angle than a Boxster. Its pretty good, I went over stuff I would have scraped on with my other cars, and it didn't.

The sport mode just changes the proportion between how much pedal is depressed and how much gas is hitting the motor. They likely say to avoid sport mode in an effort to enable customers to use more gentle throttle inputs.

I think somewhere else it says for first 4or 600 miles to not go above 4k, but then it says what you wrote above. I'm with you though. I just take it easy, gentle on everything, no hard throttle transitions, but I think some light accels are fine. This is a Toyota motor. I doubt its breaking...
