Is there consensus here on the Milltek being a fit out of the box vs. GRP? Seems there are four options: Milltek, Larini, Aerie, and GRP. There seems to be no opinions on Larini fitment and GRP seems to require a pipe expander for installation. So, in a nutshell, is Milltek the best option?

Good advice this. I guess my question is what really is the purpose of the valve controller? Doesn't the valve fully open automatically in sport/track mode and close in touring? When for instance would you want to open the valve with the remote fob? Sorry if I'm missing something here.

I have to say so far I like the sound of Larini best. In NYC you hear so many 1 liter nonsense cars with fake exhausts (and spoilers . . . as if), but the Larini sounds authentically badass. I just wonder if the 3d cat delete is enough, or if I'll need the whole kit.

Me too. I'm going to start with the cat delete, tho I have to say the full Larini sounds just like a sports car should. To be honest I don't want to mess with the valve controller or have to press a button on fob every time I go into sport mode.

Oh thanks that’s very helpful. My understanding is that you do not need to disconnect the valve controller when you perform the cat delete, so this issue should not arise. However, if I change out the entire exhaust system with a Larini for instance, that will necessitate detaching the valve...

Fwiw I've now been told by three US dealers that rumors of the V-6's death are greatly exaggerated. One told me he checked with the mothership after reading rumors online only to be reassured that the V-6 will remain in production indefinitely. But just to be safe I put money down.

So disconnect the stock valve controller before removing the third cat even if you're not replacing the stock valve controller? Then reconnect the stock controller after the new pipe is installed?

The Larini (at least in the vids) makes sounds like my old F355. Not clear, but does the full kit include a valve controller? Is a remote needed to engage the valve? Doesn't Milltek?

Thanks bro I saw that one. Looks like it has a few miles on it sadly. I'm curious if all dealers are treated the same, or whether there are some with more clout with the factory? Some dealers seem to have more stock than others. I wonder if a deposit with one of these might result in faster...
