    Henry Catchpole - Carfection review

Can’t say I’m any clearer with the suspension choices after watching that. Frustrating given he was driving my orders spec Sports with Goodyear’s.

Emira Test Drive by Forum Member

I’m not sure driving round Hethel is going to be a good indicator of the different suspension characteristics. As demonstrated by Harry choosing Sport and changing to Touring after a B road blast.

How was this found out? I didn’t see any mention of it in his review.

    Email July 9th

Q: How can I make specification changes? Specification changes are only available on orders not locked with production. Do we think this is correct.? My understanding was changes could still be made when locked in, but would result in a unspecified lengthy delay.

    Henry Catchpole - Carfection review

Henry's review in EVO was fairly complementary of the Sports/Goodyear combo. Just served to confuse me even more

    Suspension: Touring and Sports options

I was reading Henry Catchpole’s Emira review in Evo (sports chassis & goodyears) and he states: “ despite this car having the firmer of the two fixed rate suspension options, there is still plenty of compliance in the Emira around towns like this. It doesn’t jolt or jar on encountering speed...

Shmee First drive video out peeps

I think, given the cars he owns, he specifically said the Sports setup was firm. Given he owns a Senna and GTR black series that is quite telling.

Message from Matt Windle regarding Emira delays

Its a shame comms are only forthcoming to ready us for more delays. I’ve had an email from customer care that suggests they were gearing up to finalise orders with customers for July delivery. However they were not given the go ahead. Instead customers are to be contacted to “confirm the...

    Touring vs Sport suspension

Presumably the toe/camber for Sports could be changed and set as per Touring settings giving a hybrid setup.

    Touring vs Sport suspension

If Evo's review was this: "Our Sport chassis car - wearing the standard Goodyear F1 Eagle tyre rather than the Michelin Cup 2 tyres customers can specify - has a beautiful flow to its ride, rich in Lotus DNA in how it dissects the surface to feedback everything you need to know and nothing you...

    Changes to "locked in" spec

I've had a reply from Lotus with regards my query about changing a couple of things, one being the suspension. There reply: "I have been advise from factory your requested changes would mean a delivery from 2023 with a specific month to be confirmed at a later date but likely to be early in...

    Changes to "locked in" spec

This is going a bit off topic - but I do trust Harry's judgement. He's certainly well versed with stiffer riding cars having driven most sportscars including GT3, GT4 etc. He owns the project 7 & 8 which i don't imagine are the softest riding vehicles. He's also the only journalist to have...

    Changes to "locked in" spec

Ouch I'm awaiting a response from the factory on how a couple of changes will impact mine. I was expecting a few months, not six. I still don't understand these delays when production hasn't even started.

    Changes to "locked in" spec

Does anyone know why relatively minor changes to our order seem to potentially result in a delay of several months. I imagine it's to do with just-in-time availability of parts that are stocked for the cars going down the assembly line. However, they must have extra's of all parts to allow for...

Emira Delays, when did you order and what is your new proposed delivery date?

Good to hear but why don't they say that in the first place? I've still not had an official email from Lotus informing me of the delay. It's only by reaching out to Lotus directly or via the forums do we get any update. I won't be surprised if August slips to September.

Lotus again delays FE delivery for me.

Email When I've queried why August they replied : "Yes, your delivery estimation is August. This is due to the capacity of production at factory. We've tried to plan as many vehicles in for production to equal July delivery however some have resulted in early July production and August delivery."

Lotus again delays FE delivery for me.

I'm (supposed to be) a June delivery and not had any email delaying it yet. I've asked Lotus for an update re my order and i'll report back. My Car is sports suspension. I wonder if those delayed have opted for touring?

    Lotus PPF ??

Tracker or fit your own Ghost?

I opted for the tracker. First time on any of my cars. My rational was its wasn't too much money and I believe it comes with the first years subscription. Sods law say if I hadn't the insurance would insist on one and I really don't want some 3rd party pulling off trim and cutting into wires on...

If the 400bhp V6 is not enough, which engine would be a good replacement?

Not really sure why people are questioning the Emira not having enough power when nobody has driven it yet. More power does not necessarily equal more speed and definitely is not a marker of fun or capabilities. I agree with FederGigant post above. I currently have a 600hp car that whilst...

TOP GEAR Review ?...... Total specualtion

I don't imagine the difference between the two will be night and day. In fact the reviews I watched on the Evora 410 Sport (comparable to Emira Sport suspension) comment on the ride quality. In the Harry's Garage video he commented on the ride not being overly firm, albeit on a test track. I've...

    Type of Leather

I originally ordered ice grey but after much deliberation changed to Alcantara. One small part was the concern of it getting grubby, but mainly I felt there would be too many contrasting colours with the exterior - blue, black (pack) and grey. If I wasn't having the black pack then I probably...
