How certain you feel you are able to crack the i4 ecu? We have shipped our ecu to quite a few countries that are well known for cracking ecu and come back with no luck. If you feel very certain and are able to provide us some forms of guarantee, I could talk to someone who can send you a spare ecu.

It's not the Lotus lock being the problem on i4, it's the AMG lock that was put on Lotus preventing Lotus accessing the ecu.

Your dealer is indeed very chill and relaxed, giving the fact they are installing a piggyback system as a dealer. One of my friends was rejected for warranty on his defective injectors, and the reason was that Lotus Hethel had proof a piggyback was installed from the data they pull.

Because all warranty works have to go through Lotus Hethel and most of the time requires a live connection to HQ for data analysis. If HQ denies your warranty claim, your dealer will get nothing for the work they already did.

Do not update any engine management software if your car is fine as is. Our experience in China is the car gets slower for each update, for the turbo anyway.
